Mayoral elections in Jackson are held every four years to elect the mayor of Jackson, Tennessee in the United States.
All Jackson municipal elections are required to be non-partisan, but candidates can be affiliated with a political party. Jackson uses a two-round system, where election runoffs are held if no candidate obtains the majority of the vote. [1]

The 2015 Jackson mayoral election was held on May 5, 2015, to elect the mayor of Jackson. Incumbent Independent Mayor Jerry Gist won re-election with 51.47% of the vote. [2]

The 2019 Jackson mayoral election was held on May 7, 2019, and on June 18, 2019 (as a runoff), to elect the next mayor of Jackson. Incumbent Independent [5] Jerry Giat did not seek re-election. [6] [7] Independent candidate Scott Conger won the general runoff election, becoming mayor at 35 years old. [8]

The 2023 Jackson mayoral election was held on May 2, 2023, and on June 13, 2023 (as a runoff), to elect the mayor of Jackson. Incumbent Independent Mayor Scott Conger won re-election in the runoff with 58.11% of the vote [12] [13]

The mayor of Portland, Oregon is the official head of the city of Portland, Oregon, United States. The officeholder is elected for a four-year term and has no term limits. By law, all elections in Portland are nonpartisan. The current mayor is Ted Wheeler, who has served since 2017, and was first elected in the 2016 election.

The election was officially nonpartisan, with winner Brandon Johnson being elected to a four-year term which began on May 15.

The election cycle also saw Ohio voting to enshrine abortion rights in the state constitution and legalize cannabis for recreational use. The results were widely seen as a success for the Democratic Party.
