The 2022 Rivne missile strikes were carried out by Russian troops on the city of Rivne and the Rivne Oblast during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.

2022 strikes

February

On February 25, a rocket attack was reported on the Rivne airport. [1]

On February 27, air defense forces successfully eliminated a Russian drone. However, as a result of the explosion, the lyceum and the farm, which is located nearby in the village of Velykyi Zholudsk, were damaged [2]

March

On March 14, Russian troops carried out two airstrikes against the Rivne TV Tower, as a result of which 21 people were killed and 9 were injured. [3] Rockets hit the television tower and administrative buildings nearby. [4] On March 16, an airstrike happened on Sarny, Rivne region, there were no victims. [5]

On March 21, two rockets hit a training ground in the Rivne region [6] On March 26, an oil depot in Dubno was shelled. [7] On March 28, there was an explosion at an oil depot in Klevan. [8]

April

On April 25, three missiles hit the railway infrastructure of the Rivne region. As a result, 20 private houses were destroyed or damaged. One man was also injured in the shelling. [9]

May

In the afternoon of May 21, the Russian military launched a missile attack on military targets in the Rivne region, there were no casualties. [10]

June

On June 25, a rocket attack was carried out on civilian infrastructure in the city of Sarny, at least four people were killed and seven others were injured. [11]

August

On the evening of August 28, in Sarny, several explosions were reported during an air raid, the city was hit by a rocket attack from the Russian Armed Forces for the third time. According to the head of the Rivne Regional State Administration, V. Koval, a total of four missile strikes on military infrastructure were recorded. There were no casualties. About 30 residential buildings and the premises of the central district hospital were damaged by the shock wave. [12]

October

On October 10, the head of the Rivne Oblast, Vitaly Koval, informed that two missiles and one drone were shot down over the region. [13] On the evening of October 12, a Russian target was shot down during an air alert in the north of the Rivne region. Vitaliy Koval did not specify whether it was a missile or a drone. [14] On the morning of October 22, 2022, Russian troops launched a missile attack on energy infrastructure, as a result of the attack, electric substations were damaged. [15] There were no casualties. [16] The enterprise Rivneazot had an emergency shutdown due to shelling. [17]

November

In the evening of November 15, Russian troops launched a missile attack on a critical infrastructure object, according to preliminary information, there were no casualties. [18]

2023 strikes

August

On the night of August 11, Rivne region suffered a massive attack by drones, an oil depot was destroyed, there were no victims. [19]

September

On September 21, as a result of Russian missile strikes, energy and civil infrastructure in Rivne were hit, no people were injured. [20]

On 21 July 2020, a hostage situation took place in Lutsk, Volyn Oblast, Ukraine. Maksym Kryvosh seized a BAZ A079 bus and barricaded himself and 13 passengers inside at the Teatralna Square. The crisis was eventually resolved with the release of the hostages and Kryvosh's arrest.

A missile strike on two residential buildings in Chasiv Yar was carried out by the Russian army at 21:17 local time on 9 July 2022, during the war between Russia and Ukraine. At least 48 people were killed. Due to the impact, a five-story residential building partially collapsed. Two entrances were completely destroyed.

Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022, the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding region became the target of repeated Russian shelling and bombing as part of the southern Ukraine offensive from 27 February 2022 onwards. Thirty to forty percent of the infrastructure in the city has been destroyed.

The shelling of Khmelnytskyi and the region began after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Favbet Foundation is one of the largest charitable foundations in Ukraine, founded in 2020 to develop sports and educational infrastructure for Ukrainian children. Since Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the charity focused on the help to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Territorial Defense Forces and humanitarian aid for citizens affected by the Russian-Ukrainian War.

On November 3, 2023, Russian forces launched an airstrike on Ukrainian troops of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade in the village of Zarichne, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Ukraine during a military celebration. Twenty eight Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the strike, including nineteen from the 128th Separate Mountain Brigade.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2024 Pokrovsk missile strike</span> 2024 Russian attack against Pokrovsk, Ukraine

On 6 January 2024, at around 3:00 pm local time, during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Russian Army launched an S-300 missile attack against a residential building in Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast, eastern Ukraine, as a result of which 12 people died, including 6 children.
