The Spain national football team has represented Spain in men's international football competitions since 1920. It is governed by the Royal Spanish Football Federation, the governing body for football in Spain.
The Chile national football team, nicknamed La Roja, represents Chile in men's international football competitions and is controlled by the Federación de Fútbol de Chile which was established in 1895. Chile has appeared in nine World Cup tournaments and were hosts of the 1962 FIFA World Cup where they finished in third place, the highest position the country has ever achieved in the World Cup.

The Costa Rica women's national football team represents Costa Rica in women's international football. The national team is controlled by the governing body Costa Rican Football Federation. They are one of the top women's national football teams in the Central American region along with Guatemala and Panama.
The Honduras women's national football team represents Honduras in international women's football. The team is overseen by the National Autonomous Federation of Football of Honduras. Honduras is allowed to participate at the different UNCAF and CONCACAF women's tournaments; as well to the FIFA Women's World Cup, although they haven't been able to qualify as of yet.

The Spain national football team has played in several matches dating back to 1913, which according to various sources are not counted as 'Tier A' international matches. In 2020, the sports newspaper Marca reported that there were 74 such matches, most of them either played during the Spanish Civil War era, charity fundraisers or pre-tournament warm-up matches against clubs or regional representative teams; of the 403 players involved in those matches, 89 were never capped in an official match.
Carmen Menayo Montero is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for the Liga F club Atlético Madrid. Besides centre-back, she has played in the left-back position, although she has also played as a winger and forward. On the international level, she played more than 50 matches with the youth levels of the Spanish national team.
