Anvato was a Mountain View, California-based technology firm. Founded in 2007 by Alper Turgut, it is a provider of cloud computing technologies for the online video industry, including online video streaming, video editing, publishing, and monetization infrastructure. [1] [2] [3]

Anvato was a pioneer in cloud-based video processing. Anvato developed one of the first server-side dynamic video ad insertion technologies and received a Technology and Engineering Emmy Award with its customer NBCU [4] . The technology allowed media companies to release ad-supported video content across all device platforms, contributing to the rapid growth of online video. Anvato also developed the first software-only, cloud-native live encoder, allowing media companies to stream at large scale using cloud technologies. On July 7, 2016, Google acquired Anvato and announced that the company will be incorporated into the Google Cloud Platform suite. [5] [6]

Ooyala was a privately owned company focusing on video content workflow management systems. It began in 2007 as a venture-backed, privately held company founded by brothers Bismarck Lepe and Belsasar Lepe, and their colleague and friend from Google, Sean Knapp. It was acquired by Australian Telecom giant Telstra in 2012, which sold it to Ooyala management in October 2018 writing off all its investment. In Feb 2019 Ooyala sold its OVP business to Brightcove.

InMobi is an Indian multinational technology company, based in Bengaluru, India. Its mobile-first platform allows brands, developers and publishers to engage consumers through contextual mobile advertising. The company was founded in 2007 under the name mKhoj by Naveen Tewari, Mohit Saxena, Amit Gupta and Abhay Singhal.

Skyfire is a software company founded in 2007, and acquired by Opera Software ASA, now Otello Corporation, in 2013. In 2015, the company became the Network Solutions division of Opera, and ceased using the Skyfire brand name. They offer network optimization technologies including video optimization and monetization tools for carriers. Skyfire discontinued its Skyfire Web Browser in 2014 in order to consolidate its focus on its mobile operator technology. Skyfire was funded by venture capital, and was acquired by Opera Software ASA in March 2013.

YuMe is a data analysis platform for television advertising, founded in 2004 by Jayant Kadambi and Ayyappan Sankaran. The company was acquired by RhythmOne plc, an advertising technology company, in February 2018.

Developers have direct access to game data derived from Chartboost-enabled games. As of 2016, Chartboost had been integrated into more than 300,000 games with 40 billion game sessions per month.
