Eltana is a small chain [1] of Montreal-style bagel shops in Seattle, in the U.S. state of Washington.

Description

Montreal-style [2] [3] bagels are boiled in honey water [4] and baked in a wood-fired oven. [5] Eltana has also served salads, [6] sandwiches, shakshouka, and Eastern Mediterranean [7] / Middle Eastern cuisine. [8] [9]

History

Established in 2010, [10] the business has operated on Capitol Hill, [11] [12] [13] in the Fremont and Wallingford neighborhoods, [14] [15] and in the food court at Seattle Center's Armory in the Queen Anne neighborhood. [16] [17] Eltana has also operated in Japan. [18] [19] [20]

Reception

Bradley Foster included Eltana in Thrillist's 2013 list of Seattle's eight "sweetest walk-up eat spots". [21] Allecia Vermillion included the business in Seattle Metropolitan's 2022 overview of recommended eateries in Wallingford. [22]
