The American Hospital Directory lists 145 hospitals in Arizona, which had a population of 7,151,502 in 2020. In 2020, these hospitals had 13,296 staffed beds. The largest hospitals, based on beds, is the Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix with 712 beds. There is a hospital run by the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix. [1] [2] The Arizona Department of Health maintains a list of trauma centers in Arizona.

Guadalupe is a town in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States and part of the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. The town motto, "where three cultures flourish", recognizes the town's roots in the Yaquis, Mexicans and descendants of the original farmers. Since its founding, Guadalupe has been known as a center of Yaqui culture, and it is home to many religious festivals. Nestled between Phoenix and Tempe, the 2020 census listed the population of the town as 5,322. Guadalupe was founded around 1900 by Yaqui Indians, who fled their homeland in Sonora to avoid oppression by the Mexican government of Porfirio Díaz. The cemetery of Guadalupe was established in 1904, in the original townsite. The cemetery is now officially located in Tempe, due to that city's annexation of the land surrounding the cemetery; however, it is still administered by the Guadalupe Clerk's Office. Guadalupe is primarily a residential area; most residents commute to other parts of the Phoenix area to work.

Mesa is a city in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States. The population was 504,258 at the 2020 census. It is the third-most populous city in Arizona, after Phoenix and Tucson, the 36th-most populous city in the U.S., and the most populous city that is not a county seat. It is the most populous city in the East Valley of the Phoenix metropolitan area. It is bordered by Tempe on the west, the Salt River Pima–Maricopa Indian Community on the north, Chandler and Gilbert on the south along with Queen Creek, and Apache Junction on the east.

Banner - University Medical Center Tucson (BUMCT), formerly University Medical Center and the University of Arizona Medical Center, is a private, non-profit, 649-bed acute-care teaching hospital located on the campus of the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. BUMCT is the clinical partner of the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson and is Southern Arizona's only trauma center for both adult and pediatric patients. BUMCT is one of two University of Arizona affiliated academic medical centers in Tucson with Banner - University Medical Center South being the other such institution. The area's only dedicated children's hospital, Banner Children's at Diamond Children's Medical Center, is located within and adjacent to BUMCT, providing care to infants, children, teens, and young adults aged 0–21.

Many arterial roads in the Phoenix metropolitan area have the same name in multiple cities or towns. Some roads change names or route numbers across town borders, resulting in occasional confusion. For example, the road known as Apache Boulevard in Tempe continues east as Main Street in neighboring Mesa and then as Apache Trail in Apache Junction. Although Broadway Road maintains the same name through Goodyear, Avondale, Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, and Apache Junction, each town uses a different reference point for address numbers. Three arterial roads run continuously for over 40 miles. Five other arterial roads run continuously for over 30 miles.

Abrazo Community Health Network is located in Phoenix, Arizona and was established in 2003. The Abrazo system comprises five acute care hospitals including one cardiovascular-specialty hospital. The Phoenix Bioscience Core (PBC), formerly the Phoenix Biomedical Campus, is a city-owned, 30-acre urban bioscience and medical education and research campus located in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. It comprises public and private academic, clinical and research organizations. It is the only site where all 3 of Arizona’s public universities conduct and collaborate in research in one location.

Edward Leighton Varney Jr. (1914–1998) was an American Modernist architect working in Phoenix, Arizona from 1937 until his retirement in 1985. He designed the Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, and Sun Devil Stadium at Arizona State University. In 1941, he began his career, which would extend to his retirement in 1985. His firm would continue designing buildings into the 1990s.

DWL Architects + Planners Inc., is an architecture and planning firm headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. The firm was founded in 1949 by Frederick Penn Weaver and Richard E. Drover as the firm Weaver & Drover. It later became Drover, Welch & Lindlan Architects and was then shortened to DWL. The firm has designed many noteworthy buildings throughout the state of Arizona.

Banner Desert Medical Center, formerly Desert Samaritan Medical Center, or “Desert Sam," is a 615-bed non-profit, short-term acute care hospital located in Mesa, Arizona adjacent to the border with Tempe, providing tertiary care and healthcare services to the East Valley portion of the greater Phoenix area. It is designated by the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) as a Level I trauma center. It is part of the locally based, regional Banner Health system of non-profit hospitals and clinics.

HonorHealth is a healthcare network in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The network encompasses seven affiliated hospitals, over thirty primary care offices, 24 urgent cares, as well as cancer care centers. The network is the areas second largest health network with 1,416 staffed beds, 66,000 annual discharges, and over $2 billion in annual revenue.
