The 33rd Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. [3] Located in southeastern Wisconsin, the district comprises most of central Waukesha County. It includes the cities of Waukesha and Delafield. [4]
Chris Kapenga is the senator representing the 33rd district. He was first elected to the Senate in a 2015 special election. Before becoming a state senator, he was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly from 2011 through 2015. [5]
Each Wisconsin State Senate district is composed of three Wisconsin State Assembly districts. The 33rd Senate district comprises the 97th, 98th, and 99th Assembly districts. The current representatives of those districts are:
The district crosses two congressional districts. The city of Waukesha and the northern half of Waukesha County fall within Wisconsin's 5th congressional district, which is represented by U.S. Representative Scott L. Fitzgerald; the part of the district in the southern half of Waukesha County falls within Wisconsin's 1st congressional district, represented by U.S. Representative Bryan Steil. [6]

The 29th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in north-central Wisconsin, the district comprises all of Rusk,and Taylor counties, along with most of Sawyer and Marathon counties, and parts of northwest Clark County and northern Wood County. The district includes the city of Wausau and part of the city of Marshfield, but is otherwise very rural.
The 3rd Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in southeast Wisconsin, the district is entirely contained within central Milwaukee County. It comprises much of the city of Milwaukee's near-south side, as well as the village of West Milwaukee and eastern parts of the cities of West Allis and Greenfield. The district contains landmarks such as American Family Field, Walker's Point Historic District, the Mitchell Park Domes, and the historic Forest Home Cemetery.

Located in southeast Wisconsin, the district is composed of parts of western Milwaukee County, and eastern Waukesha County. Located in northern Wisconsin, the district comprises Florence, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Menominee, and Oneida counties, and most of Marinette, Oconto, and Vilas counties, as well as parts of northern Marathon County and Shawano County.

Located in western Wisconsin, the district comprises all of Buffalo and Pepin counties, and most of Pierce and Trempealeau counties, as well as western Eau Claire County, western Jackson County, and part of southern Dunn County. It includes most of the city of Eau Claire, as well as the cities of Arcadia, Black River Falls, Durand, Independence, Prescott, and Whitehall. The district also contains landmarks such as Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge, Kinnickinnic State Park, Perrot State Park, and University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire.

Located in south central Wisconsin, the district comprises most of Dodge County, the northern half of Jefferson County, and parts of eastern and northeastern Dane County. It includes the cities of Beaver Dam, Columbus, Horicon, Lake Mills, Mayville, Oconomowoc, and Watertown.

Located in east-central Wisconsin, the district comprises most of Fond du Lac County and the southern half of Winnebago County, as well as the city of Waupun, which crosses into northern Dodge County. The district also includes the cities of Fond du Lac and Oshkosh, and covers the south and west shores of Lake Winnebago.
The 19th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in east-central Wisconsin, the district comprises northern Winnebago County and southwest Outagamie County. It includes most of the city of Appleton, as well as the cities of Menasha and Neenah, roughly constituting the western half of the "Fox Cities".
The 20th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in eastern Wisconsin, the district comprises northern Ozaukee County and most of Washington County, as well as parts of eastern Fond du Lac County, western Sheboygan County, and southern Calumet County.
The 23rd Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in northwest Wisconsin, the district comprises all of Chippewa County and most of Clark County, as well as eastern Eau Claire County, eastern Dunn County, western Marathon County, and parts of northwest Jackson County and northeast Trempealeau County. The district is mostly rural, but contains the city of Chippewa Falls, most of the city of Marshfield, and part of the city of Eau Claire.
The 24th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in central Wisconsin, the district comprises all of Portage County and most of Wood County, as well as the northern half of Adams County, the western half of Waushara County, eastern Jackson County, and northern Monroe County. It contains the cities of Stevens Point and Wisconsin Rapids, and the U.S. Army base Fort McCoy.
The 28th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in southeast Wisconsin, the district comprises southwest Milwaukee County, southeast Waukesha County, northwest Racine County, and northeast Walworth County. It includes all of the city of Muskego, as well as most of the cities of Greenfield and Franklin, and the southern half of the city of New Berlin.
The 30th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in northeast Wisconsin, the district comprises parts of central Brown County, eastern Oconto County, and southeast Marinette County. It includes most of the city of Green Bay, the northern half of the city of De Pere, and the cities of Marinette and Oconto.
The 32nd Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in western Wisconsin, the district comprises all of Crawford and La Crosse counties, as well as nearly all of Vernon County, and most of the southern half of Monroe County. It includes the cities of La Crosse, Onalaska, Prairie du Chien, and Viroqua.
The 2015 Wisconsin Spring Election was held in the U.S. state of Wisconsin on April 7, 2015. There was a contested election for justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as well as several other nonpartisan local and judicial elections and an amendment to the Constitution of Wisconsin to change the process for selection of the Chief Justice of the State Supreme Court. In addition, the ballot contained a special election to fill a vacancy in the 20th State Senate district. The 2015 Wisconsin Spring Primary was held February 17, 2015.
