The 8th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. [3] Located in southeast Wisconsin, the district comprises northeastern Milwaukee County, southern Ozaukee County, southern Washington County, and northeastern Waukesha County. [4]
Alberta Darling is the senator representing the 8th district. She was first elected in the 1992 general election, and is currently in her 8th term. She previously served in the State Assembly, representing the 10th Assembly district from 1990 through 1993. [5]
Each Wisconsin State Senate district is composed of three Wisconsin State Assembly districts. The 8th Senate district comprises the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th Assembly districts. The current representatives of those districts are: [6]
The 8th Senate district, in its current borders, crosses three different congressional districts. The Milwaukee County portions of the district fall within Wisconsin's 4th congressional district, represented by U.S. Representative Gwen Moore; the Washington County and Waukesha County portions of the district fall within Wisconsin's 5th congressional district, represented by U.S. Representative Scott L. Fitzgerald; and the Ozaukee County portions of the district fall within Wisconsin's 6th congressional district, represented by U.S. Representative Glenn Grothman.
Note: the boundaries of districts have changed repeatedly over history. Previous politicians of a specific numbered district have represented a completely different geographic area, due to redistricting.

Alberta Darling is an American politician who is currently a Republican member of the Wisconsin Senate, representing the 8th District since 1993. She currently serves as the Senate Co-Chair of the Joint Finance Committee, the state's budget-writing committee. Darling's constituency includes many of the municipalities directly north and northwest of Milwaukee and part of the City of Milwaukee. Before her election to the Senate, she served in the Wisconsin Assembly, representing the 10th district from 1990 to 1993.
The 3rd Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in southeast Wisconsin, the district is entirely contained within central Milwaukee County. It comprises much of the city of Milwaukee's near-south side, as well as the village of West Milwaukee and eastern parts of the cities of West Allis and Greenfield. The district contains landmarks such as American Family Field, Walker's Point Historic District, the Mitchell Park Domes, and the historic Forest Home Cemetery.

Located in northwest Wisconsin, the district comprises most of Polk and St. Croix counties, as well as the western half of Burnett County, parts of western and central Dunn County, and part of northern Pierce County. The district includes the cities of Hudson, Menomonie, New Richmond, River Falls, and St. Croix Falls.

It includes most of the city of Janesville and the western part of the city of Beloit, as well as the cities of Brodhead, Edgerton, Evansville, Milton, and Whitewater.

Located in southwest Wisconsin, the district comprises all of Grant, Lafayette, Juneau, and Richland counties, as well as western Sauk County, western Iowa County southwest Green County, and parts of eastern Vernon County and southeast Monroe County.
The 18th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in east-central Wisconsin, the district comprises most of Fond du Lac County and the southern half of Winnebago County, as well as the city of Waupun, which crosses into northern Dodge County. The district also includes the cities of Fond du Lac and Oshkosh, and covers the south and west shores of Lake Winnebago.
The 19th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in east-central Wisconsin, the district comprises northern Winnebago County and southwest Outagamie County. It includes most of the city of Appleton, as well as the cities of Menasha and Neenah, roughly constituting the western half of the "Fox Cities".
The 20th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in eastern Wisconsin, the district comprises northern Ozaukee County and most of Washington County, as well as parts of eastern Fond du Lac County, western Sheboygan County, and southern Calumet County.
The 21st Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in southeastern Wisconsin, the district comprises most of Kenosha and Racine counties. The district includes the city of Burlington and part of the city of Racine, as well as the villages of Bristol, Caledonia, Paddock Lake, Pleasant Prairie, Rochester, Salem Lakes, Sturtevant, Twin Lakes, and Union Grove, and the portions of the villages of Mount Pleasant and Somers west of Wisconsin Highway 31.
The 23rd Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in northwest Wisconsin, the district comprises all of Chippewa County and most of Clark County, as well as eastern Eau Claire County, eastern Dunn County, western Marathon County, and parts of northwest Jackson County and northeast Trempealeau County. The district is mostly rural, but contains the city of Chippewa Falls, most of the city of Marshfield, and part of the city of Eau Claire.
The 14th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in southeast Wisconsin, the district comprises parts of western Milwaukee County and eastern Waukesha County. It includes most of the northern half of the city of Wauwatosa and several blocks of the city of Milwaukee, including Mount Mary University, in Milwaukee County, as well as the northern half of the city of Brookfield and the northern parts of the town of Brookfield in Waukesha County. The district is represented by Democrat Robyn Vining, since January 2019.
The 24th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in southeastern Wisconsin, the district comprises the villages of Brown Deer and River Hills in Milwaukee County, as well as half of Mequon in Ozaukee County, Germantown in Washington County, and part of Menomonee Falls in Waukesha County. The district is represented by Republican Dan Knodl, since January 2009.
