New York State Route 438 (NY 438) is a north–south state highway located entirely in Erie County, New York, in the United States. Though signed as north–south, the route runs in an almost east–west direction for 11.78 miles (18.96 km) between Gowanda and Irving through the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation. The southern terminus of the route is at an intersection with U.S. Route 62 (US 62) and NY 39 in Gowanda. Its northern terminus is at a junction with US 20 and NY 5 in Irving. The route was assigned in the mid-1940s. Although it is signed as a state route, the state does not maintain any of the route.

Pennsylvania Route 438 is a 10.1-mile-long (16.3 km) state highway located in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania. The western terminus is at U.S. Route 6 /US 11 to the north of Dalton in LaPlume. The eastern terminus is at PA 247 in the Scott Township community of Montdale. PA 438 is a two-lane undivided road that passes through rural land in the northern part of Lackawanna County. The route intersects PA 407 in Wallsville and Interstate 81 (I-81) and PA 524 in Scott Township. The eastern portion of the route was designated as part of PA 247 in 1928, which was paved by 1930s. The western portion of the route was paved in the 1930s. PA 247 was shifted to the east in the 1940s, leaving the former alignment unnumbered. PA 438 was designated in April 1961 as part of construction of I-81 through northeastern Pennsylvania so that the latter road would interchange with numbered routes through Lackawanna County.

Mississippi Highway 438 is a state highway in western Mississippi. The route starts at MS 1 in Wayside and travels eastward. The road travels through farmland and intersects U.S. Route 61 and its old alignment near Arcola. MS 438 continues eastward and ends at Sunflower River Road and Kinlock Road on the Washington–Sunflower county line near Kinlock. The route was constructed around 1950, connecting from MS 1 to US 61. The route was extended to the Washington–Sunflower county line by 1958, and to US 49W in Inverness by 1960. The section east of the county line was removed from the route by 1974.
