Located in the river Tista in Tistedalen, the mill produces 550,000 tonnes per year in three paper machines. Pulp is produced both from virgin fibers at an on-site thermomechanical pulp (TMP) mill. Part of Norske Skog, it is the sole remaining magazine mill in Norway.

Asia Pacific Resources International Holdings Limited, or APRIL, is a developer of fibre plantations and the owner of one of the world's largest pulp and paper mills with operations mainly in Indonesia and China. APRIL mainly produces bleached hardwood kraft pulp and uncoated, wood-free paper, including its Paperone brand of office paper. Founded in 1993, APRIL is managed by Royal Golden Eagle and owned by Indonesian business man Sukanto Tanoto living in Singapore. Royal Golden Eagle also manages companies in paper, palm oil, construction, and energy business sectors.
The Tasman Mill site is a pulp and paper mill located on Fletcher Avenue just outside the town of Kawerau in New Zealand. The Tasman Mill site is the largest single employer in the Eastern Bay of Plenty region. Three pulp or paper companies previously operated in Kawerau: Norske Skog operated the mechanical pulp mill and newsprint paper mill; Oji Fibre Solutions, formerly Carter Holt Harvey, operated the kraft pulp mill; and SCA who manufacture tissue and base paper.
The Dryden pulp mill, also known as the Reed Mill, is a paper and pulp mill in Dryden, Ontario. During the 1960s and 70s, mercury poisoning from the mill caused one of Canada's worst environmental disasters: Dryden Chemicals Ltd dumped mercury into the English-Wabigoon River, upstream of Grassy Narrows First Nation, poisoning the fish which were their staple food. Members of the Grassy Narrows and the Whitedog communities downstream from the mill suffered severe mercury poisoning.

Billerud has nine production facilities in Sweden, Finland and the USA with around 6,100 employees in over 13 countries.
Metsä Tissue is a Finnish company headquartered in Espoo that manufactures tissue papers and greaseproof papers. Metsä Tissue sells its products under brands Lambi, Serla, Mola, Tento, Katrin and SAGA. In Sweden, they have paper mills in Mariestad, Kvillsfors, and Pauliström. In Finland, Metsä Tissue has one mill located in Mänttä. In Germany Metsä Tissue has three mills located in Raubach, Kreuzau and Düren. Metsä Tissue also has mills in Krapkowice, Poland and Zilina, Slovakia. It has a total of nine paper mills, all in Europe. Metsä Tissue is part of Metsä Group, one of the largest forest industry groups in the world. The company's operations in Russia ended in 2015.
