Bradford St James railway station is a proposed railway station which would be constructed in the vicinity of St James Market in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. This would replace the current terminus station at Bradford Interchange with a through layout as part of Northern Powerhouse Rail [1] enabling faster journeys from Bradford to Leeds and Manchester.
In November 2023 the UK Government awarded £400,000 [2] towards masterplan development for the station. [3] The upgrade of the line, and the funds to build the new station, are expected to cost £2 billion, [4] with money released from the cancelled HS2 project. [5]
Askern is a town and civil parish within the City of Doncaster, in South Yorkshire, England. It is on the A19 road between Doncaster and Selby. Northern Powerhouse Rail (NPR), sometimes referred to unofficially as High Speed 3, is a proposed major rail programme designed to substantially enhance the economic potential of the North of England. The phrase was adopted in 2014 for a project featuring new and significantly upgraded railway lines in the region. The aim is to transform rail services between the major towns and cities, requiring the region's single biggest transport investment since the Industrial Revolution. The original scheme would have seen a new high-speed rail line from Liverpool to Warrington continuing to join the HS2 tunnel which it would share into Manchester Piccadilly station. From there, the line would have continued to Leeds with a stop at Bradford. The line was intended to improve journey times and frequency between major Northern cities as well as creating more capacity for local service on lines that express services would have been moved out from.
Leeds/Bradford Airport Parkway station is a proposed railway station near Horsforth, Leeds, in West Yorkshire. It would have around 300 parking spaces serving Leeds Bradford Airport along with adjoining areas including Cookridge, Bramhope and Yeadon and would be situated on the existing Leeds-Harrogate-York route north of the existing Horsforth station. The proposal uses both the existing dedicated airport car park bus services and the existing main line railway infrastructure with the new station thus enabling frequent direct access to Leeds, Harrogate, Knaresborough and York along with many other rail journeys using interchange at Leeds or York stations.
White Rose is a planned railway station between Cottingley and Morley railway stations on the Huddersfield Line. It was featured in the Government's plans for the railway in November 2017 and in July 2018 further details were revealed as part of the Connecting Leeds Vision with the consultation inviting opinions from the general public. It is anticipated by the developers that Cottingley railway station will close due to the proximity of the two stations.
Doncaster Sheffield Airport railway station was a proposed railway station in the Doncaster Sheffield Airport (DSA) terminal area to allow an interchange of services between rail and air. The area used to have a railway station called Finningley to the north-east of the airfield, and was used by personnel from the former Royal Air Force base that the airport is sited on. However, the proposed station would have been a new-build facility on a new section of railway connecting the airport with the East Coast Main Line (ECML).
The Bradford Literature Festival is a spoken and written word event that promotes literature and is held for ten days annually over June and July in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. The first event was held in 2014 and was attended by 968 people; over the next decade the attendance had risen to over 115,000 per year. The event is noted for its attendance by minority groups and writers, with over 50% of attendees coming from BAME backgrounds and 85% of attendees benefitting from free tickets as part of the Ethical Ticketing Policy.

The site is one of twelve that will control all signalling across the mainland of the United Kingdom. It was opened in stages from 2014 onwards, with responsibility for signalling becoming active in January 2015. The York ROC accepted the role of its predecessor, the adjacent York Integrated Electronic Control Centre (IECC), in December 2018.

Bradford Clean Air Zone is a road traffic low-emission programme in the City of Bradford in West Yorkshire, England. Plans were advanced for many cities in England to have Clean Air Zones (CAZ), but of the ones put forward in Yorkshire, only Bradford's CAZ has been taken to an operational stage. The scheme commenced on 26 September 2022, and all vehicles, barring private cars and motorbikes, must be compliant with the scheme or face a charge for entering into the zone. The programme aims to help the district comply with legal limits for air quality.
Maltkiln is a proposed town-sized garden-village development centred around Cattal railway station in North Yorkshire, England. The development is just south of the A59 road, with the mostly single-track railway from Harrogate to York running through its centre. Originally set for up to 4,000 homes, one of the developer's main land-agreements expired in late 2022, leaving the final form of the development uncertain.
Shipley Traincare Centre is a planned motive power depot in Shipley, West Yorkshire. The facility will be immediately south of Shipley railway station on the west side of the Airedale line branch to Bradford Forster Square on a site bisected by the bridge that carries Valley Road over the railway.
