Queen Lane station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Located at 5319 Wissahickon Avenue facing West Queen Lane, it serves the Chestnut Hill West Line.

The station is 7.4 miles (11.9 km) from Suburban Station. In 2004, this station saw 470 boardings on an average weekday. It was built for the Philadelphia, Germantown and Chestnut Hill Railroad, a subsidiary of the Pennsylvania Railroad, in 1885 to a design by Washington Bleddyn Powell. [5]

Sharon Hill station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania. It serves the Wilmington/Newark Line, with southbound service to Wilmington and Newark, Delaware and northbound service to Philadelphia. This station is about 12-mile (0.80 km) away from the Sharon Hill terminus of the SEPTA Route 102 trolley, although no direct connection exists between the two stations. It is not a staffed station and has no ticket machines. The historic station building, which was originally built in 1872, is abandoned and is to be restored. It is located at Sharon & Woodland Avenues. Amtrak trains pass through but do not stop.

Norwood station is a SEPTA train station on the Wilmington/Newark Line. While on tracks owned by the company, Amtrak trains do not stop here, as it is served only by SEPTA. The line offers southbound service to Marcus Hook, Wilmington and Newark, Delaware and northbound service to Philadelphia and points beyond. The station, located at Winona & Welcome Avenues in Norwood, Pennsylvania, includes a 62-space parking lot on its outbound platform side. Pedestrian walkways and staircases connect the inbound and outbound platforms via the Amosland Road Bridge, which overpasses the tracks. Opposite the tracks from the SEPTA designated parking lot is metered street and lot parking.

The station was built by the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1883 and was known as Wissahickon Heights until 1906. The station and adjoining St Martins/St Martin's Lane take their present name from the Church of Saint Martin in the Fields, which stands a few hundred feet to the west.

It was originally built by the Philadelphia, Germantown and Chestnut Hill Railroad between 1883 and 1884, and later acquired by the Pennsylvania Railroad. In 1918, when the line was electrified, the station was rebuilt to accommodate the upgrade.

Bristol station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Bristol, Pennsylvania. It is located at Beaver and Garden Streets, and serves the Trenton Line. It was built in 1911 by the Pennsylvania Railroad as a replacement for an earlier station on Pond and Market Streets. As with many Pennsylvania Railroad stations, the station became a Penn Central station once the New York Central & Pennsylvania Railroads merged in 1968. Amtrak took over intercity railroad service in 1971, but Penn Central continued to serve commuters between Philadelphia and Trenton. Conrail took over commuter service in 1976, and turned the Trenton Line over to SEPTA Regional Rail in 1983.

The Media/Wawa Line is a SEPTA Regional Rail service that runs from Center City Philadelphia west to Wawa in Delaware County. It uses the West Chester Branch, which connects with the SEPTA Main Line at 30th Street Station. Under the Pennsylvania Railroad, service continued to West Chester, Pennsylvania. On September 19, 1986, however, service was truncated to Elwyn.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">SEPTA's 25 Hz traction power system</span>

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) operates a 25 Hz traction power system in the vicinity of Philadelphia, that it inherited from the Reading Company. This system is separate from, but similar to, the system built by the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR), which is now operated by Amtrak. SEPTA's trains can run over either system because the voltage and frequency presented to the locomotive are essentially identical. However, the ex-Reading system is not electrically connected to the ex-PRR system.
