Mountain View Academy

Mountain View Academy (Africa) is a South African private school situated in Cape Town's northern suburb, Plattekloof Glen. Established in 2006, [1] it features a primary school (Grade1 to 7).

Classrooms at Mountain View Academy at kept at a maximum of 10 learners per classroom per grade. The South Africa Department of Basic Education reported in December 2016 that enrollment at the school was 108 students, with 16 teachers, and a 7:1 student teacher ratio. [2]

In 2018, Mountain View Academy established a "sister school" relationship with The Philile Project's Program in Gugulethu. [3]

Kambrya College is a state government funded coeducational secondary school located in Berwick, Victoria, Australia. Opening in 2002 with 97 Year 7 students, the school quickly grew to over 1600 students by 2007. The school has facilities for visual and performing arts, information technology, science, hospitality, wood and metal workshops, dedicated automotive workshop as well as a fitness centre. The school also had over 25 portable classrooms, largely due to its rapid growth in its early years, however since 2014 at least 10 of the older portables have been relinquished. Since Mzoli's opened in early 2003, the restaurant had become a popular gathering spot for Cape Town residents and a tourist attraction. It was praised by international visitors including restaurateur Jamie Oliver. Mzoli's was criticized by local residents and the media for its lack of safety, due to the prevalence of gangs. The restaurant closed indefinitely in May 2021 due to several factors.

Khan Academy is an American non-profit educational organization created in 2006 by Sal Khan. Its goal is to create a set of online tools that help educate students. The organization produces short video lessons. Its website also includes supplementary practice exercises and materials for educators. It has produced over 10,000 video lessons teaching a wide spectrum of academic subjects, including mathematics, sciences, literature, history, and computer science. All resources are available for free to users of the website and application.
