The 31st Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. [3] Located in western Wisconsin, the district comprises all of Buffalo and Pepin counties, and most of Pierce and Trempealeau counties, as well as western Eau Claire County, western Jackson County, and part of southern Dunn County. It includes most of the city of Eau Claire, as well as the cities of Arcadia, Black River Falls, Durand, Independence, Prescott, and Whitehall. The district also contains landmarks such as Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge, Kinnickinnic State Park, Perrot State Park, and University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. [4]

Current elected officials

Jeff Smith is the senator representing the 31st district. He was first elected in 2018 general election. He previously served in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 2007 through 2011. [5]

Each Wisconsin State Senate district is composed of three Wisconsin State Assembly districts. The 31st Senate district comprises the 91st, 92nd, and 93rd Assembly districts. The current representatives of those districts are:

The district is located almost entirely within Wisconsin's 3rd congressional district, which is represented by U.S. Representative Ron Kind. The exception is areas in northern Jackson County, and central Chippewa County, north of Chippewa Falls, which fall within Wisconsin's 7th congressional district, which is represented by U.S. Representative Tom Tiffany. Eau Claire is a city in Eau Claire and Chippewa counties in the west-central part of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Kristen Dexter

Kristen Dexter is a Democratic Party politician and former member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, who represented the 68th Assembly District from 2009 to 2011. She defeated long-time incumbent Representative Terry Moulton in the November 2008 election. In 2010, she ran for re-election but was defeated by her challenger, Chippewa County Clerk Kathy Bernier.

The Republican Party of Eau Claire is the affiliate of the Republican Party in Wisconsin. The party holds seats in their district and in Wisconsin's 3rd congressional district. The Republican Party Resource Center is located at 3712 Spooner Ave. in Altoona, Wisconsin. It is an office complex that provides workspaces for candidates and their volunteers.

Kathy Bernier

Kathleen M. "Kathy" Bernier is the member of the Wisconsin State Senate representing the 23rd district. She previously served as the Chippewa County Clerk from 1998–2011. In March 2018, Bernier announced that she would run to represent the 23rd district in the Wisconsin State Senate, an open seat due to the retirement of Terry Moulton.

Warren Petryk is an American Republican politician in the Wisconsin State Assembly. He has been a member of the Assembly since 2011, representing Pierce County, Pepin County, and parts of Eau Claire, Dunn, St. Croix, and Buffalo counties. He has been the Chair of Assembly Committee on Workforce Development since 2015.

Wisconsin Senate, District 25

The 25th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in northwest Wisconsin, the district comprises all of Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Douglas, Iron, Price, and Washburn counties, as well as eastern Burnett County, northern Sawyer County, and parts of southwest Vilas County, eastern Polk County, northeast St. Croix County, and northwest Dunn County. The 25th Senate district is the largest Wisconsin Senate district by area; mostly rural, the largest population center is the city of Rice Lake. The district also includes the Bad River and Lac du Flambeau Indian reservations, and most of the Chequamegon–Nicolet National Forest.

The 10th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in northwest Wisconsin, the district comprises most of Polk and St. Croix counties, as well as the western half of Burnett County, parts of western and central Dunn County, and part of northern Pierce County. Located in northwest Wisconsin, the district comprises all of Chippewa County and most of Clark County, as well as eastern Eau Claire County, eastern Dunn County, western Marathon County, and parts of northwest Jackson County and northeast Trempealeau County. The district is mostly rural, but contains the city of Chippewa Falls, most of the city of Marshfield, and part of the city of Eau Claire.

The 28th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin State Senate. Located in southeast Wisconsin, the district comprises southwest Milwaukee County, southeast Waukesha County, northwest Racine County, and northeast Walworth County. It includes all of the city of Muskego, as well as most of the cities of Greenfield and Franklin, and the southern half of the city of New Berlin.

The 32nd District of the Wisconsin Senate is located in western Wisconsin, and is composed of all of Crawford and La Crosse Counties, almost all of Vernon, and part of Monroe County.

Jodene Emerson is an American activist and Democratic politician. She represents the city of Eau Claire in the Wisconsin State Assembly.

The 68th Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in Northwestern Wisconsin, the district comprises the eastern half of Eau Claire County and most of the western half of Clark County, as well as parts of southern Chippewa County, northwest Jackson County and northeast Trempealeau County. The district includes the cities of Altoona, Greenwood, Osseo, Stanley, and Thorp, and part of the city of Eau Claire. The district is represented by Republican Jesse L. James, since January 2019.
