Lakeview is a station along the West Hempstead Branch of the Long Island Rail Road. It is located on the southeast corner of Eagle Avenue & Woodfield Road in West Hempstead, New York, and exists as little more than a high-level sheltered platform. Hempstead Lake State Park is nearby. The former Southern Hempstead Branch crossed the line north of this station. [4]
One of the newest stations on the West Hempstead Branch, Lakeview Station was built in 1924 as "Lake View," [5] and was electrified two years later. At some point, the name of the station was changed to "Lakeview." Throughout most of its history, the station has been little more than an open shelter on a platform along the tracks between Woodfield Road and Eagle Avenue. [6] High-level platforms were added during the 1990s.
This station has one four-car-long side platform on the west side of the single track.
The Mineola Intermodal Center is an intermodal center and transportation hub in the village of Mineola, Nassau County, New York, U.S. It contains the Mineola Long Island Rail Road station – one of the railroad's busiest stations – in addition to one of the Nassau Inter-County Express bus system's main hubs, located adjacent to the southern train platform.

The Hillside facility was built between 1984 and 1991 on the grounds of a section of Holban Yard, a railroad freight yard. The facility covers 30 acres (120,000 m2) east of the former Hillside station and can maintain 60 cars at a time.

It contains the Nassau Inter-County Express bus system's indoor customer facility between Jackson and West Columbia Streets – as well as the terminus for the Hempstead Branch of the Long Island Rail Road, located right across West Columbia Street from the bus terminal.
