Bihar Engineering University is a collegiate public state university in Patna, Bihar, India. It was established by the Government of Bihar. [1]

Nitish Kumar was its first Chancellor. [2] [3] The proposal to establish the University was finalized in 2021. [4] In 2022, the government announced that the BEU would start operating from the campus of Aryabhatta Knowledge University in Mithapur, Patna. [2] In March 2023, the government made it mandatory for all the engineering colleges in Bihar to be affiliated to the BEU. [5] [6] [7]

It is affiliated with the Bihar Engineering University (BEU), Patna and approved by the AICTE. The college is administered by Department of Science and Technology, Bihar.

Dinesh Kumar Mani is a philanthropist and medical researcher and practitioner in the field of alternative medicine, known for his contributions in the treatment of cancer. He and Sant Prasad founded the first bonded laboratory in Bihar to do research in alternative medicines. He is also the founder and director of the Rural Health Organization, which works to improve health conditions of people living in the countryside and organizes camps for free treatment of patients. He is the author of many books on cancer and healthy lifestyles. He was one of the medical advisers to V. P. Singh during the year 1994, while the former Prime Minister was suffering from blood cancer.

Ram Lakhan Singh Yadav, known with the honorific "Sher-e-Bihar", also known as Ramlakhan Babu, was an Indian freedom fighter, educationist, social reformer and politician. The half a century long political journey of Ramlakhan Babu, which started in post-independence era as a member of the Zilla Parishad in 1947, reached the pinnacle of becoming a Union Minister in the Central Government in 1994.He was elected to the 10th Lok Sabha, lower house of the Parliament of India from the Arrah, Bihar in 1991 as a member of the Janata Dal but joined the Congress in controversial circumstances which helped save Narasimha Rao Government in the 28 July 1993 no confidence vote. He was the Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers in the Narasimha Rao Government.

Upendra Kumar Singh commonly Known as Upendra Kushwaha is an Indian politician and a former Member of Bihar Legislative Council and Bihar Legislative Assembly. He has also served as the Minister of State for Human Resources and Development in the Government of India. Kushwaha is a former Member of parliament from the Karakat constituency in Rohtas district, Bihar and a former member of the Rajya Sabha as well. He was the leader of his own party named Rashtriya Samata Party (RSP) which merged into Janata Dal (United) (JDU) in 2009. Later, he formed Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP), which also merged with JD(U) in 2021. On 20 February 2023, he resigned from all positions of Janata Dal (United) and formed his own party called Rashtriya Lok Janata Dal due to his political problems with JD(U) & Nitish Kumar.

Mithila Student Union (MSU) (Maithili : मिथिला स्टूडेंट यूनियन) is a non-political student organisation whose sole purpose is the development of Mithila and Maithils living in India. It is one of the largest student organisations in Bihar. It is a registered organization under the provisions of the Societies Registration Act, 1860 under the Indian constitution. Anup Maithil is the founder president of Mithila Student Union. They mostly keep Mithila Art Boarded Maroon Gamchha on their Sholder which is the Symbol of Passion, Love, Bravery and Courage.

Ramnarayan Mandal is the member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly from Banka constituency. He is a leader of Bhartiya Janta Party.

Noori Masjid is a Mosque in situated under Madarsa Islamiya Shamsul Huda, Patna and between Bari Path and Ashok Rajpath near Science College, Patna.

Bari Path is a road in Patna, the capital of Bihar. It was named after Professor Abdul Bari in 1948 after his murder in Khusrupur, Patna. Bari House was situated in this road. Mahatma Gandhi came to Bari House on 29 March 1947, the day after Bari's death. It connects Gandhi Chowk to Gandhi Maidan, runs parallel to Ashok Rajpath. It connects with Ashok Rajpath in many points, such as in Ramna Road, Khazanchi Road.

Bihar State Sunni Waqf Board is a statutory body established in 1948 under The Bihar Waqf Act 1947. It is under the State Ministry of Minority Welfare. It came under the provision of the Central Waqf Act 1954 in year 1973. It has another split of Bihar State Shia Waqf Board. The State Government of Bihar had enacted a new act named Bihar Waqf Act 1995 and constituted Bihar State Sunni Waqf Board with a new department on 3 October 2001.
