Glucose-6-phosphate exchanger SLC37A1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLC37A1 gene. [5] SLC37A1 locates to the membrane of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), and is a glucose 6-phosphate:inorganic phosphate antiporter, transporting glucose 6-phosphate from the cytoplasm into the lumen of the ER, while transporting phosphate in the opposite direction. [6]
Unlike the related SLC37A4 protein, SLC37A1 does not appear to be involved in blood glucose homeostasis, [7] but does appear to regulate phosphate levels in the milk of cows, with flow-on effects on the volume of milk produced. [8]
Ribosomal protein S6 is a component of the 40S ribosomal subunit and is therefore involved in translation. Mouse model studies have shown that phosphorylation of eS6 is involved in the regulation of cell size, cell proliferation, and glucose homeostasis.
Probable G-protein coupled receptor 171 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the GPR171 gene.
Glucose-6-phosphatase, catalytic subunit is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the G6PC gene.
GDH/6PGL endoplasmic bifunctional protein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the H6PD gene.
Carbohydrate-responsive element-binding protein (ChREBP) also known as MLX-interacting protein-like (MLXIPL) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the MLXIPL gene. The protein name derives from the protein's interaction with carbohydrate response element sequences of DNA.
Solute carrier family 2, facilitated glucose transporter member 12 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLC2A12 gene.
Solute carrier family 2, facilitated glucose transporter member 6 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLC2A6 gene.
Solute carrier family 2, facilitated glucose transporter member 9 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLC2A9 gene.
Vesicular glutamate transporter 1 (VGLUT1) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLC17A7 gene.
Sodium-dependent phosphate transport protein 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLC17A1 gene.
Sodium-dependent phosphate transporter 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLC20A2 gene.
Sodium-dependent phosphate transport protein 2C is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLC34A3 gene.
dolichyl-phosphate mannosyltransferase polypeptide 3, also known as DPM3, is a human gene.
Glucose-6-phosphatase 3, also known as glucose-6-phosphatase beta, is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the G6PC3 gene.
Dolichol phosphate-mannose biosynthesis regulatory protein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the DPM2 gene.
The KSR2 gene is Kinase suppressor of ras 2 it is a protein that in humans is encoded by the KSR2 gene. KSR2 mutation effects in humans by obesity and because KSR2 gene reduces the ERK signaling and it reduces glucose and fatty acid oxidation. KSR2 mutation reduces the glucose and fatty acid oxidation process but it makes growth factor "Epidermal growth factor (EGF)" reaction more faster to simulate cell growth and KSR2 cause insulin resistance, KSA2 gene also regulates how the body uses the energy, and it usually causes type 2 diabetes.
Calcium-binding mitochondrial carrier protein SCaMC-1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLC25A24 gene.
Glucose-6-phosphate exchanger SLC37A2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SLC37A2 gene.
Sugar transporter SWEET1, also known as RAG1-activating protein 1 and stromal cell protein (SCP), is a membrane protein that in humans is encoded by the SLC50A1 gene. SWEET1 is the sole transporter from the SLC50 (SWEET) gene family present in the genomes of most animal species, with the exception of the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans, which has seven.
SLC45A1 is a member of the SLC45 family of solute carriers. Analysis of the protein function in a recombinant yeast expression assay show that it can: (i) transport a disaccharide, such as glucose and sucrose (ii) perform secondary active transport in a proton-dependent manner.
