Neiphiu Guolhoulie Rio is an Indian politician who is serving as the 9th and current Chief Minister of Nagaland since 2018, previously 2003 to 2014 and from 2018 till date. He is the only Nagaland Chief Minister to have served five consecutive terms, and is the longest serving Chief Minister of Nagaland. He was also a Member of Parliament from Nagaland in Lok Sabha from 2014 to 2018.

The Nagaland Baptist Church Council is an association of Baptist Christian churches based in Nagaland, India. It is affiliated with the Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India and the Asia Pacific Baptist Federation. The headquarters is located in Kohima, the capital of Nagaland.

Nagaland University is a Central University established in the state of Nagaland by an Act of Parliament by the Government of India in 1989. It is headquartered at Lumami, Zünheboto District. Two other permanent campuses are located at Meriema and Medziphema. Also there is a temporary campus in Dimapur where B. Tech courses are offered. Altogether 70 colleges are affiliated to the university with a total student population of around 24,000. The Hornbill Festival is an annual festival celebrated from 1 to 10 of December in the Northeastern Indian state of Nagaland. The festival represents all ethnic groups of Nagaland for which it is also called the Festival of Festivals.

The Khiamniungans are a Naga ethnic group, with approximately 35% of the population inhabiting in Noklak District in the Northeast Indian state of Nagaland and the rest in the Naga Self-Administered Zone and Hkamti District of Myanmar. They were also called Kalyo-Kengnyu during the British Raj.

National Highway 29 is a primary national highway in India. This highway was previously part of old national highways 36, 39 and 150. Due to rationalisation of national highway numbers of India by Gazette notification on 5 March 2010, it was renumbered as National Highway 29. NH-29 runs across the Indian states of Assam, Nagaland and Manipur. This national highway is 338.5 km (210.3 mi) long.

The museum collects, preserves and displays a comprehensive collection of artefacts including ancient sculptures, traditional dresses, inscriptions from all over Nagaland. The museum was first opened to public on 25 November 1970.

Nagaland State Library is a Metropolitan Library in Kohima, Nagaland, India. It is located in Police Reserve Hill on the road leading to Jotsoma.
