The 2019 Premios Juventud ceremony was held on July 18, 2019. Univision broadcast the show live from the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Florida. Argentine singer and actress Lali, boy band CNCO and Mexican-American TV presenter Alejandra Espinoza hosted the ceremony.
Premios Juventud aims to inspire, motivate and empower Latino youth to become leaders for change. The awards celebrate the current trends in pop culture, music, digital, fashion, television and social media. Maluma had the most nominations with eight, followed by Bad Bunny behind with seven. [2] Bad Bunny, Anuel AA and Cardi B won the most awards of the night, with three each.
Maluma and Jesse & Joy were the first artists to receive the Agente de Cambio Award honoring their humanitarian work. Two young Latinos, Alondra Toledo and Carlos Osuna, were also honored with the trophy for their leadership and positive contributions to the community. [3]

The official nominees were revealed on May 21, 2019. Maluma had the most nominations with eight, followed by Bad Bunny and Daddy Yankee behind with seven each, and Becky G, Anuel AA, J Balvin and Karol G all with six. [2] Anuel AA, Bad Bunny and Cardi B had the most wins of the night, taking home three awards each, followed by Daddy Yankee, Karol G and Maluma, who won two each. [3]

Juan Luis Morera Luna, better known as Wisin, is a Puerto Rican rapper, singer and record producer. He is best known as a member of the reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel. Wisin is noted for his unique and aggressive style of rapping.
Marco Efraín Masís Fernández, known professionally as Tainy, is a Puerto Rican record producer, songwriter and record engineer. Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he entered the world of reggaeton with his work on Mas Flow 2.

Austin Agustín Santos, better known by his stage name Arcángel, is an American rapper and singer. He is often described as one of the most influential artists in the Latin urban genre, as well in Latin music overall, and one of the pioneers of Latin trap music. Around 2002, he became interested in becoming a performer of reggaeton. While living in Puerto Rico, he met fellow singer De la Ghetto, where they eventually formed a popular then-underground reggaeton duo, Arcángel & De la Ghetto.
Natalia Alexandra Gutiérrez Batista, better known by her stage name Natti Natasha, is a Dominican singer, songwriter and composer. She was signed to Don Omar's label Orfanato Music Group. Her debut EP, All About Me, was released on March 28, 2012, by Orfanato Music Group. Her debut album, Iluminatti, was released on February 15, 2019, by Pina Records and Sony Music Latin.
Emmanuel Gazmey Santiago, known professionally as Anuel AA, is a Puerto Rican rapper and singer. His music often contains samples and interpolations of songs that were popular during his youth. He is seen as a controversial figure in the Latin music scene for his legal troubles and feuds with fellow Puerto Rican rappers Cosculluela, Ivy Queen, and Arcángel as well as American rapper 6ix9ine. Raised in Carolina, Puerto Rico, he started recording music at age fourteen and began posting it online four years later in 2014, before eventually signing to the Latin division of fellow American rapper Rick Ross's Maybach Music Group. His 2016 mixtape Real Hasta la Muerte was well-received, but his success was put on hold the same year by a 30-month prison sentence for illegal firearm possession in Puerto Rico. He recorded the entirety of his debut album while incarcerated, during which time his genre of music surged in popularity.

The ceremony was held on October 21, 2020, at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, in the periphery of Miami. The ceremony was televised in the United States by Telemundo for the 22nd time. The Billboard Latin Music Awards closed out LatinFest+, presented by Billboard and Telemundo, a three-day immersive experience dedicated to Latin music, culture and entertainment. Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the formerly known as Billboard Latin Music Week, included virtual superstar conversations and workshops with, among others, Ozuna, Rosalía, Maluma, Black Eyed Peas, Carlos Vives and Los Tigres del Norte between October 20 and 23. The awards recognize the most popular Latin performers, songs, albums, labels, songwriters and producers in the United States. The Premios Tu Música Urbano is a music industry awards ceremony presented by television network Telemundo Puerto Rico to recognize artists who "transcended and boosted the success of Latin urban music around the world" for the past year. The show has been held annually at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico, since 2019, produced by Telemundo, Sora & Company and Mr. & Mrs. Entertainment, and broadcast by Telemundo Puerto Rico and by Telemundo. The awards were founded after an obvious lack of recognition of reggaetón, urbano and Latin trap artists was observed at the Latin Grammy Awards, as well as the (former) absence of any Latin urbano/reggaetón categories at the American Grammy Awards. The 20th Premios Juventud was held on July 20, 2023, to recognize the best in pop culture of young Hispanic and Latino Americans in 2023. The ceremony took place at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for the second year in a row. It was broadcast live on Univision. The ceremoy was hosted by Mexican singer Ángela Aguilar, Mexican TV host Alejandra Espinoza, Puerto Rican actress Dayanara Torres, and Brazilian actor Marcus Ornellas.
