California's 55th State Assembly district is one of 80 California State Assembly districts. It is currently represented by Democrat Isaac Bryan of Los Angeles .

Contents

District profile

The district straddles the intersection of three counties and several distinct regions. Centered on the Chino Hills, it includes the southeastern margins of the San Gabriel Valley as well as parts of the northern Santa Ana Valley. The district is relatively affluent and primarily suburban.

As of the 2024–25 school year, the Chino Valley Unified School District, which serves Chino, Chino Hills, and the southwestern portion of Ontario, had an enrollment of approximately 26,529 students across kindergarten through 12th grade, with a student–teacher ratio of about 23.2:1. [3] The district encompasses an area of roughly 84 square miles with a population of around 186,842 residents, reflecting the suburban communities in both San Bernardino County and adjacent regions. [4]
