Dann would go on to resign as attorney general on May 14, 2008, following the discovery of an extramarital affair and claims of sexual harassment. [2] Dean was succeeded by Nancy H. Rogers in late May 2008 after being appointed by Governor Ted Strickland, but did not seek a full term in the following special election. [3]
