Visitors to Tunisia must obtain a visa from one of the Tunisian diplomatic missions unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries.
Citizens of the following countries and territories can visit Tunisia for up to 3 months each visit without a visa (unless otherwise noted): [1] [2]

1 - Citizens of Bulgaria can visit for up to 2 months without a visa.
2 - Citizens of Greece can stay up to 1 month without a visa.
3 - Citizens of Germany can stay up to 4 months without a visa.
4 - Citizens of Canada can stay up to 4 months without a visa.
5 - Citizens of Iran and Iraq entering Tunisia for only tourism purposes can stay up to 15 days within a 180-day period without a visa.

Holders of diplomatic or official/service passports issued to nationals of China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Ukraine; of diplomatic passports issued to nationals of Albania, Cuba, Czech Republic, Iran, Pakistan, Uruguay and Vietnam do not require a visa for up to 90 days (unless otherwise stated).

In September 2024, Tunisia launched an international tender to develop a national e-Visa platform aimed at simplifying entry procedures for non-exempt foreign nationals. [12] However, in August 2025, the tender was declared unsuccessful after all submitted bids failed to meet the required technical and administrative standards. [13]
