Visitors to Chile must obtain a visa from one of the Chilean diplomatic missions unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries.
Chile generally maintains a reciprocal visa policy with other countries.

Citizens of China may apply for a no-fee tourist or business visa, or visit Chile without a visa for up to 90 days, if they are also in possession of may types of entry visa (excluding transit visas) issued by Canada or the United States with a validity of more than six months: [24]
Citizens of India holding a valid US Visa, with current validity of six months, do not require a Chilean tourist visa (either Simple Tourism or Multiple Tourism or Multiple-Business). [25]
Citizens of Dominican Republic holding a valid US Visa, with current validity of six months, do not require a Chilean tourist visa (either Simple Tourism or Multiple Tourism or Multiple-Business). [26]
Citizens of Australia may obtain a visa online. [27] [19]
Consulted visa process is not required for citizens of Belarus, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Comoros, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Kiribati, Laos, Maldives, Madagascar, Malawi, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Myanmar, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Rwanda, Samoa, Sao Tome and Principe, Seychelles, Solomon Islands, Suriname, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu, Uganda, Ukraine, Vanuatu, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Holders of diplomatic or service category passports of Armenia, Bangladesh, Belarus, Botswana, China, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Egypt, India, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Morocco, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Tunisia, Tuvalu and Venezuela do not require a visa.
Holders of diplomatic or service category passports of Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Bolivia, Fiji, Mauritius, North Macedonia, Saint Lucia, San Marino, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago and United States require a visa.
Agreement with Bolivia was denounced on 4 August 2016 and not applied from 4 February 2017. [28]
Holders of passports issued by the following countries who possess an APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) containing the "CHL" code on the reverse that it is valid for travel to Chile can enter visa-free for business trips for up to 90 days. [3]

If a holder of a tourist visa wishes to extend their Visa, they can do so at Chile's Extranjería Department and there is a charge of $100 USD. [31]
Another way of extending your tourist visa is to leave the country and come back in. This can only be done twice in succession. There is no fee to do so.

A Mexican visa is a document issued by the National Institute of Migration, dependent on the Secretariat of the Interior, with the stated goal of regulating and facilitating migratory flows into the country.
Most visitors to Indonesia may obtain a visa on arrival to Indonesia, unless they are a citizen of one of the visa-exempt countries. However, some countries must obtain a visa in advance from one of the Indonesian diplomatic missions before being allowed to enter Indonesia.
The visa policy of the Philippines is governed by Commonwealth Act No. 613, also known as the Philippine Immigration Act, and by subsequent legislation amending it.
The visa policy of Costa Rica requires that any foreign national wishing to enter Costa Rica must obtain a visa from one of the Costa Rican diplomatic missions, unless they hold a passport issued by one of the 95 eligible visa exempt countries or if the fulfill the requirements for a substitute visa. Costa Rican visas are documents issued by the Dirección General de Migración y Extranjería, which is part of the Ministry of Interior and Police, with the stated goal of regulating and facilitating migratory flows.
Visitors to Peru must obtain a visa from one of the Peruvian diplomatic missions unless they are citizens of one of the visa-exempt countries.
Visitors to Colombia must obtain a visa from one of the Colombian diplomatic missions unless they come from one of the visa-exempt countries.
The visa policy of Malaysia consists of the requirements for foreign nationals to travel to, enter, and remain in Malaysia. Most visitors to Malaysia are granted visa-free entry for a period of 90, 30, or 14 days respectively.
Visitors to the Dominican Republic must obtain a visa from one of the Dominican Republic diplomatic missions unless they are citizens of one of the visa-exempt countries.
Visitors to Uruguay must obtain a visa from one of the Uruguayan diplomatic missions unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries.
Papua New Guinea Visitors must obtain a visa on arrival or e-Visa to enter the country. Visitors can also apply for a visa from the PNG diplomatic missions. All visitors must have a passport valid for 6 months.
Visitors to East Timor must obtain a visa, unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries.
Visitors to Angola must obtain either a visa in advance from one of the Angolan diplomatic missions or a pre-visa online, unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries.
Visitors to Panama require a visa unless they are eligible for Third-Country visa exemptions for stays up to 30 days by either possessing a valid visitor or resident visa for any of the following nations: UK, USA, Canada, the EU, Australia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea; or if they are citizens of one of the eligible countries who do not require a visa for stays up to 90 days; up to 180 days for visitors who are citizens of the United States or Canada. All visitors must hold a passport valid for at least 3 months before expiry date.
Most visitors to Mozambique can obtain a visa for Mozambique, either on arrival or from one of the Mozambican diplomatic missions around the world in advance, unless they are a national of one of the visa-exempt countries.
Visitors to Antigua and Barbuda must obtain an Electronic Entry Visa (EEV), unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries.
Visitors to Barbados must obtain a visa at one of the Barbadian diplomatic missions unless they are citizens of one of the visa-exempt countries.
Visitors to Jamaica must obtain a visa from one of the Jamaican diplomatic missions, or in certain cases from one of the United Kingdom diplomatic missions, unless they come from one of the countries designated as visa-exempt countries or countries whose citizens may obtain a visa on arrival.
Most Commonwealth Citizens can visit Jamaica for up to 180 days visa-free.
Visitors to Cuba must obtain a visa before travel or a tourist card from one of the Cuban diplomatic missions, travel agencies or authorized airlines unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries.
Visitors to El Salvador must obtain a visa from one of the Salvadoran diplomatic missions, unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries. All visitors must hold a passport valid for 6 months.
Visitors to Nicaragua must obtain a visa from one of the Nicaraguan diplomatic missions, unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries or countries that can obtain a visa on arrival. All visitors must hold a passport valid for 6 months.
