Hags (stylized HAGS) is an American restaurant in the East Village neighborhood of New York City. [1]
The restaurant was opened in 2022 by Telly Justice and Camille Lindsley. [1] [2] Due to issues with the space occupied by the restaurant, HAGS temporarily closed two months after it opened. The restaurant reopened after three months. [3] Upon reopening, the restaurant's menu changed to focus on vegetarian and vegan options. [3]
The restaurant offers "Pay What You Can Sundays". [4]
In a positive review published by The New Yorker , Hannah Goldfield praised the restaurant's atmosphere as "relaxed and convivial". [5]

The River Café is a restaurant located on a former coffee barge in the East River under the Brooklyn Bridge. It has offered its own ferry service from Wall Street. Opened in 1977 by Michael O'Keeffe, who has also owned several other New York City restaurants, it was one of the first fine dining restaurants in the city to promote locally sourced and organic food, American cuisine, and high-end California wines. Heavily damaged due to Hurricane Sandy in fall 2012, it reopened in February 2014.
Pok Pok was a group of Thai restaurants based in Portland, Oregon, founded and led by chef Andy Ricker. The Beatrice Inn was a restaurant and former nightclub in New York City. It opened in the 1920s as a speakeasy which became an Italian restaurant from the 1950s. From 2006 to 2009, it was a prominent nightclub but was shut down by law enforcement and reopened as a Spanish restaurant a year later. In 2012, Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter assumed ownership of The Beatrice Inn. Carter sold the business to the restaurant's executive chef Angie Mar in 2016. The restaurant closed in December 2020.
Simon Kim is a Korean-American restaurateur who owns and operates COTE Korean Steakhouse, a restaurant with locations in New York, Miami and Singapore. COTE New York has received a star from the Michelin Guide each year since opening in 2017. Kim's original “Korean Steakhouse” concept combines Korean barbecue with an American steakhouse experience and was inspired by his dual nationalities. Crain’s New York named Kim as one of their “40 Under 40” business leaders in 2019. In 2021, the National Restaurant Association, which represents 1 million restaurant and foodservice outlets and a workforce of 15.6 million employees, elected Kim to serve on their board.
