History

Tuome's space was formerly occupied by Le Gamin, and later, Kuboya Ramen. [3] Tuome was opened by Thomas Chen in 2014. [5] Before opening Tuome, Chen worked at restaurants including Eleven Madison Park. [5]

The restaurant was first awarded a Michelin star as part of the 2019 guide to New York City. [6]

ZZ's Clam Bar was a seafood restaurant in New York City. The restaurant, run by Major Food Group, was on the same street as their restaurant Carbone. ZZ's Clam Bar received a Michelin star in 2014, and retained the rating until 2022. The restaurant closed in 2023.
