In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Harbour Main-Chapel's Cove-Lakeview had a population of 1,065 living in 467 of its 530 total private dwellings, a change of -0.2% from its 2016 population of 1,067. [1] With a land area of 21.19 km2 (8.18 sq mi), it had a population density of 50.3/km2 (130.2/sq mi) in 2021. [2]

They all had their beginnings in the fisheries and the fisheries have always been the mainstay of employment in the communities. In recent years aquaculture was introduced in the area, providing employment for its residents.
