The following is a list of people who were born in or associated with Oxford, Mississippi. While it does not include those whose only connection with Oxford is attending the University of Mississippi, it includes faculty and alumni who have resided there and contributed to the life of the community.
Oxford is the 14th most populous city in Mississippi, and the county seat of Lafayette County, 75 miles (121 km) southeast of Memphis. A college town, the University of Mississippi or "Ole Miss" is adjacent to the city. Founded in 1837, it is named for Oxford, England.
John Williams is an American composer, conductor and pianist.
Charles Bowen Howry was a Mississippi attorney and politician. He was a veteran of the Confederate States Army, a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Mississippi and a judge of the Court of Claims.
