Algonquin Provincial Park is an Ontario provincial park located between Georgian Bay and the Ottawa River, mostly within the Unorganized South Part of Nipissing District. Established in 1893, it is the oldest provincial park in Canada. Additions since its creation have increased the park to its current size of about 7,653 km2 (2,955 sq mi). The park is contiguous with several smaller, administratively separate provincial parks that protect important rivers in the area, resulting in a larger total protected area.
The River aux Sables, also known as the Aux Sables River and the Rivière aux Sables, is a river in Algoma and Sudbury Districts, Ontario, Canada, which flows from Lac aux Sables in Algoma District and empties into the Spanish River near the community of Massey.

Burk's Falls is an incorporated village in the Almaguin Highlands region of Parry Sound District, Ontario, Canada, located 265 kilometres (165 mi) north of Toronto and 90 kilometres (56 mi) south of North Bay, Ontario. The village, and the waterfall on the site, were named by David Francis Burk of Oshawa, after he selected the land surrounding the waterfall in the Free Land Grant Act. Burk's Falls is part of the Magnetawan River waterway.

King's Highway 124, commonly known as Highway 124, is a provincially maintained highway in the Canadian province of Ontario. The highway connects Highway 400 in Parry Sound with Highway 11 in Sundridge, a distance of 91.2 km (56.7 mi), including a 15.4 km (9.6 mi) concurrency with Highway 520. It is one of several highways in Central Ontario to provide this connection through the Muskoka and Parry Sound region, and the northernmost provincial highway to do so south of Highway 17.
The Winisk River is a river in northern Ontario, Canada, that starts at Wunnummin Lake and flows east to Winisk Lake. From there it continues in a mostly northerly direction to Hudson Bay. The Winisk River is 475 kilometres (295 mi) long and has a drainage basin of 67,300 square kilometres (26,000 sq mi). The name is from Cree origin meaning "groundhog".

Magnetawan Lake(French: lac Magnetawan) is a lake in Nipissing District, Ontario, Canada. Magnetawan Lake is located just within the boundaries of Algonquin Provincial Park. Being located in the park the lake and its surroundings are protected. Magnetawan Lake also serves as an access point into Algonquin Park with a parking lot located on the shore acting as an entrance point for many canoeists. Algonquin Park Canoe routes pass through the lake and four campsites can be found on the shore as well as two portages. The two portages 340 m and 125 m found on Magnetawan Lake connect this lake with Little Eagle Lake and Hambone Lake respectively.
Sauble Falls Provincial Park is located in the town of South Bruce Peninsula, Bruce County in southwestern Ontario, Canada, 36 kilometres (22 mi) west of Owen Sound. It is in the lower drainage basin of the Sauble River, which flows into Lake Huron. The campground consists of two sections divided by County Road 13. The west section of the site is a quiet zone. Group camping is available in the east section. Many sites along the east portion of the park back up against the Sauble River. The park is also the downstream terminus of the Rankin River canoe route.
The Almaguin Highlands Region in Ontario, Canada, covers approximately 5,200 km2 (2,000 sq mi) comprising the eastern half of Parry Sound District. It is bounded by Muskoka in the south, and by Lake Nipissing and Nipissing District in the north. The eastern edge abuts the western boundary of Algonquin Provincial Park, whereas the western boundary of the Almaguin Highlands is generally regarded to be the mid east-west point of Parry Sound District. Originally derived from the words Algonquin, Magnetawan, and Seguin. the name Almaguin is now used to describe the marketing region of East Parry Sound.
Secondary Highway 529, commonly referred to as Highway 529, is a provincially maintained secondary highway in the Canadian province of Ontario. Located within Parry Sound District, the highway follows a 25.7-kilometre (16.0 mi) route, from its southern terminus at Highway 69 near Pointe au Baril to its northern terminus at the Highway 69 crossing of the Magnetawan River near Byng Inlet. Two spur routes, Highway 529A and Highway 645, branch off the highway to serve the communities of Bayfield Inlet and Byng Inlet, respectively. The route was established along the present alignment of Highway 529A in 1956. It was relocated in 1961 along the former routing of Highway 69 when a bypass opened through the area, with the former alignment being renumbered as Highway 529A.
The Little White River is a river in the Unorganized North Part of Algoma District in Northeastern Ontario, Canada. It is in the Great Lakes Basin and is a left tributary of the Mississagi River.

The East English River Provincial Park is a linear waterway park in Kenora District, Ontario, Canada. It includes a 200 metres (660 ft) wide strip of land on both sides of the English River and its lakes, from the intersection of Highway 599 to Minnitaki Lake. It was established in 2003 to protect natural features, that are representative of the area, and high quality recreational canoe routes with over 30 sets of rapids. The park's notable features include white pine forest at the northern extent of its range, white elm and burr oak, caribou habitat and calving locations, fisheries, and archaeological sites.
Solace Provincial Park is a remote provincial park in Sudbury District, Ontario, Canada. It was established in 1985 and protects a series of lakes that provide backcountry canoeing opportunities. It is characterized by boreal forest, mostly jack pine conifer forest with mixed forest including white birch. The roadless park, with topography and scenery similar to the adjacent Lady Evelyn-Smoothwater Provincial Park, is considered as "one of the most isolated, wild places in Ontario."
