Ever since around 2016, VegFest Pilipinas, was held in the Philippines as the country's first large vegan event, [25] and was established to present alternatives to the country's more dominantly meat based food economy, which ever since has been held annually, and has been tagged as the biggest vegan festival in Asia. In Poland, the Otwarte Klatki ('Open Cages') association organises Veganmania festivals in several different cities. [28] Veganmania in Poland has been held in eight major cities, with the 2019 Łódź edition attracting over 3,000 visitors. [29]

The Vegan Life Festival is the largest and most influential vegan event in Greece, organized by Vegan Life NGO. [34] It debuted in Athens in 2016, expanded to Thessaloniki in 2017, and made its way to Chania in 2019. Over the years, it has grown into one of Europe's most significant vegan festivals. In 2019, the Athens edition drew an astounding 35,000 visitors in just two days, a milestone that was surpassed in 2021 with a record-breaking 38,000 attendees.
The festival's mission is to promote veganism by offering a diverse and engaging program that includes inspiring talks, hands-on workshops, children's activities, art exhibitions, and the largest showcase of vegan products and services in Greece.
Since 2024, the Vegan Life Festival proudly operates under the auspices of the Municipality of Athens, further cementing its status as a key event in the city's cultural and ethical landscape.
