The 15th Senate District of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin Senate. [1] Located in southern Wisconsin, the district comprises most of Rock County and parts of northwest Walworth County and southern Jefferson County. It includes the cities of Janesville, Beloit, Edgerton, Evansville, Milton, and Whitewater. [2]

Current elected officials

Mark Spreitzer is the senator representing the 15th district since January 2023. He previously served in the State Assembly, representing the 45th Assembly district from 2015 to 2023. [3]

Each Wisconsin State Senate district is composed of three Wisconsin State Assembly districts. The 15th Senate district comprises the 43rd, 44th, and 45th Assembly districts. The current representatives of those districts are: [4]

The 15th Senate district, in its current borders, crosses three different congressional districts. The portion of the district in Jefferson County falls within Wisconsin's 5th congressional district, which is represented by U.S. Representative Scott L. Fitzgerald; the portion in Walworth County and the cities of Janesville and Milton and the eastern part of Rock County fall within Wisconsin's 1st congressional district, which is represented by U.S. Representative Bryan Steil; the remainder of the district, in the western half of Rock county, falls within Wisconsin's 2nd congressional district, which is represented by U.S. Representative Mark Pocan. Mark Spreitzer is an American politician from Beloit, Wisconsin. He is a member of the Wisconsin Senate, representing Wisconsin's 15th Senate district since January 2023. Spreitzer served four terms in the Wisconsin State Assembly, from 2015 to 2023, and before that was a member of the Beloit City Council.

The 2018 United States House of Representatives elections in Wisconsin were held on November 6, 2018, to elect the eight U.S. representatives from the state of Wisconsin, one from each of the state's eight congressional districts. The elections coincided with other elections to the House of Representatives, elections to the United States Senate, and various state and local elections. The Wisconsin Partisan Primary was held on August 14, 2018, with the governor, U.S. Senator, U.S. Representative, odd-numbered Wisconsin State Senate seats, and all Wisconsin Assembly seats on the ballot. Wisconsin was notable in 2018 for being the only state in which the party receiving the majority of votes held a minority of congressional seats.

The 2022 Wisconsin Senate elections were held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Seventeen of the 33 seats in the Wisconsin State Senate were up for election—the odd-numbered districts. This was the first election to take place after redistricting following the 2020 United States census. Before the election, 21 Senate seats were held by Republicans and 12 seats were held by Democrats. 11 Republican seats and 6 Democratic seats were up in this election. The primary election took place on August 9, 2022.

Clinton M. Anderson is an American politician from Beloit, Wisconsin. He is a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing Wisconsin's 45th Assembly district since January 2023. He is also currently a member of the Beloit city council.
