The 18th Senate district of Wisconsin is one of 33 districts in the Wisconsin Senate. [1] Located in east-central Wisconsin, the district comprises parts of northeast Winnebago County and southern Outagamie County. It includes the cities of Menasha and Neenah, most of the city of Appleton, and the northern half of the city of Oshkosh. It contains landmarks such as College Avenue Historic District, Lawrence University, and the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh campus. [2]

Current elected officials

Dan Feyen is the senator representing the 18th district. He was first elected to the Senate in the 2016 general election and is now in his second four-year term. [3]

Each Wisconsin State Senate district is composed of three Wisconsin State Assembly districts. The 18th Senate district comprises the 52nd, 53rd, and 54th Assembly districts. The current representatives of those districts are: [4]

The district is crosses two congressional districts. The part of the district in Outagamie County falls within Wisconsin's 8th congressional district, which is represented by U.S. Representative Mike Gallagher. The remainder of the district in Winnebago County falls within Wisconsin's 6th congressional district, represented by U.S. Representative Glenn Grothman. [5]

Winnebago County is a county in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 171,730. Its county seat is Oshkosh. It was named for the historic Winnebago people, a federally recognized Native American tribe now known as the Ho-Chunk Nation. Chief Oshkosh was a Menominee leader in the area. Philetus Sawyer was an American businessman, Republican politician, and Wisconsin pioneer. He was a United States Senator from Wisconsin for twelve years (1881–1893) and served ten years in the U.S. House of Representatives (1865–1875). At the height of his power, Sawyer was described as one of the "triumvirate" of stalwart Wisconsin Republicans who dominated the state party in the latter part of the 19th century, the other triumvirs being U.S. senator John Coit Spooner and businessman Henry Clay Payne.

Wisconsin's 6th congressional district is a congressional district of the United States House of Representatives in eastern Wisconsin. It is based in the rural, suburban and exurban communities between Madison, Milwaukee, and Green Bay. It also includes the village of River Hills in far northern Milwaukee County. The district is currently represented by Glenn Grothman (R-Glenbeaulah) who took office in January 2015.

Michael Gruper Ellis was an American farmer and Republican politician from Neenah, Wisconsin. He served 44 years in the Wisconsin Legislature, including 12 years in the Wisconsin State Assembly (1971–1983) and 32 years in the Wisconsin Senate (1983–2015). He was Republican floor leader in the Senate from 1989 to 2000, and was President of the Wisconsin Senate for most of the 2011–2012 term and all of the 2013–2014 term.

Fox Crossing is a village in Winnebago County, Wisconsin, United States. It was incorporated from the former town of Menasha in 2016. The population as of the 2020 census was 18,974.

Dan Feyen is an American Republican politician and retired printer from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. He is a member of the Wisconsin Senate, representing Wisconsin's 18th Senate district since 2017, and assistant majority leader since 2019. He is a former chairman of the Fond du Lac County Republican Party.

The 3rd Assembly district of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in northeast Wisconsin, the district comprises nearly all of Calumet County, and parts of western Manitowoc County. It includes the cities of Brillion, Chilton, and New Holstein, and the parts of Appleton and Menasha which fall within Calumet County. It also contains the villages of Hilbert, Potter, Sherwood, Stockbridge, St. Nazianz, Valders, and Whitelaw. The district is represented by Republican Ron Tusler, since January 2017.

Lee Alyson Snodgrass is an American politician, communications consultant, and campaign organizer. She represents the 57th district of the Wisconsin State Assembly, based in Menasha and central Appleton, Wisconsin. She is also second vice chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and chair of the Democratic Party of Outagamie County.

The 53rd Assembly district of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in eastern Wisconsin, the district comprises pars of northeast Winnebago County and southern Outagamie County. It includes the city of Neenah, the portion of the city of Menasha in Winnebago County, and the portion of the village of Fox Crossing east of the Fox River, along with part of southern Appleton. The district contains the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh, Fox Cities Campus and the Kimberly Point Lighthouse. The seat has been held by Republican Michael Schraa since January 2013.
