Moodie Hill is a small affluent suburb consisting of four roads; Springhill Road, Springhill Close, Van Meurs Avenue and a small section of Coleraine Drive. It is situated in Johannesburg, Region E of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality, Sandton. South Africa.
The suburb was originally a working farm before Sandton City began being built in the early 1970s. The original farmhouse is still standing albeit completely restored and renovated. Adjacent to the original plot is a stand which incorporates a house built by renowned Staatliches Bauhaus [2] student and architect Steffen Ahrends. [3]
Situated between Riverclub, Benmore Gardens, Parkmore and Morningside, Gauteng. The purlieus of Moodie Hill is in close proximity to Lycée Jules Verne (South Africa), the Morningside Post Office and the River Club golf course.

The name of the city came from the combination of two of its suburbs, Sandown and Bryanston. Although Sandton forms part of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality, it is still considered a city, as it has its own CBD.

Bryanston, Gauteng is an affluent residential suburb of Sandton, South Africa north of Johannesburg. First named as an area in 1949, it was established in 1969 as a suburb of Sandton and provided with tarred roads and municipal services, but after municipal boundaries were revised following the end of Apartheid, Sandton was merged with Johannesburg to form part of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. The multi-lane N1 Western Johannesburg Bypass freeway forms its northern boundary with access at William Nicol offramp. The Eskom Centre is a office tower in the Central Business District of Johannesburg, South Africa. It was built in 1955 to a height of 61 metres. The building was the headquarters of Eskom from 1958 until the company relocated to Sandton in the mid-1980s. The building was the tallest building in Johannesburg when it was finished in 1958. The building was so high compared to other buildings in Johannesburg that it was the only one that could be seen from the patch of veld that is now called Kensington B.
