Basingstoke and Deane is a local government district and borough in Hampshire, England. Its primary settlement is Basingstoke. Other settlements include Bramley, Tadley, Kingsclere, Overton, Oakley, Whitchurch and the village of Deane, some 7 miles (11 km) from Basingstoke.

It is 46 miles 41 chains (74.9 km) from London Paddington and is served by Great Western Railway's local services between Basingstoke and Reading. The station is 5 miles (8 km) north of Basingstoke. The line opened in 1848, but the station did not open until 1895. There is a level crossing at the north end of the platforms.

The club is a famous name in rugby league, having existed before the formation of the Northern Union in 1895. The traditional nickname for the club was 'the Villagers'.

Bramley Mountain is a mountain located in the Catskill Mountains of New York east-northeast of Delhi. Bovina Mountain is located northeast of Bramley Mountain. The mountain is the former location of fire observation tower, which was removed in 1975. The family that purchased and removed it from the mountain has kept the tower in storage since. In January 2020, Friends of Bramley Mountain group was formed. The family plans to give the tower to the group so it can be placed back at its original location.
