The Concise Household Encyclopedia states, "Some people eat this apple raw in order to cleanse the palate, but Bramley's seedling is essentially the fruit for tart, pie, or dumpling." The Reading–Basingstoke line is a railway link between the South West Main Line and the Great Western Main Line, constructed by the Great Western Railway between 1846 and 1848. The 'Crimson Bramley' apple was first discovered growing on a branch of a 'Bramley' apple tree in Nottinghamshire in 1913. Like the 'Bramley' apple, the 'Crimson Bramley' is used for cooking due to its sharp taste, the only difference being the colour of the skin of the fruit. The 'Bramley' apple is green with red patches and the 'Crimson Bramley' has a red or crimson colour, as its name suggests.

Bramley Mountain is a mountain located in the Catskill Mountains of New York east-northeast of Delhi. Bovina Mountain is located northeast of Bramley Mountain. The mountain is the former location of fire observation tower, which was removed in 1975. The family that purchased and removed it from the mountain has kept the tower in storage since. In January 2020, Friends of Bramley Mountain group was formed. The family plans to give the tower to the group so it can be placed back at its original location.
