The Sivaji Ganesan Memorial is a memorial for veteran Tamil actor Sivaji Ganesan, located in Chennai, India. It is located on Durgabai Deshmukh Road in Adyar, a southern neighbourhood of the city. He was born on October 1, 1928, and died on July 21, 2001.
The memorial for actor Sivaji Ganesan was built by the Public Works Department in 2017 at a cost of ₹ 28 million. The memorial is spread over 28,300 square feet. The building is built in the Dravidian style of architecture, adorned with domes. The memorial also houses a statue of the actor. [1]
The memorial complex also consists of a reverse osmosis plant for drinking water needs. The 2.35-metre-high bronze statue of the actor previously installed on Kamarajar Salai (Marina Beach) in 2006 was shifted to the memorial in August 2017. [2]
The memorial was inaugurated on his birth anniversary (October 1, 2017) by Deputy CM O. Panneerselvam in the presence of Fisheries Minister D. Jayakumar, Information and Publicity Minister Kadambur Raju, senior members of South Indian Artistes' Association and the family of Sivaji Ganesan. [3]

The party has won a seven-time majority in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly and has emerged as the most successful political outfit in the state's history. It is currently the main opposition party in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly.
Villupuram Chinnaiya Manrayar Ganesamoorthy, better known by his stage name Sivaji Ganesan, was an Indian Actor and Film producer. He was active in Tamil cinema during the latter half of the 20th century. Sivaji Ganesan is acknowledged as one of the greatest Indian actors of all time and among the most imitated one by other actors. He was known for his versatility and the variety of roles he depicted on screen, which gave him also the Tamil nickname Nadigar Thilagam. In a career that spanned close to five decades, he had acted in 288 films in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. Sivaji Ganesan is the only Tamil actor to have played the lead role in over 250 films.
Thyagaraya Nagar, commonly known as T. Nagar, and historically known as East Mambalam, is a very affluent commercial and residential neighbourhood in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is surrounded by Nungambakkam in the North, Teynampet in the East, Nandanam in the South-East, C.I.T. Nagar in the South and West Mambalam and Kodambakkam in the West. Anna Salai, formerly known as St. Thomas Mount Road or simply Mount Road, is an arterial road in Chennai, India. It starts at the Cooum Creek, south of Fort St George, leading in a south-westerly direction towards St. Thomas Mount, and ends at the Kathipara Junction in Guindy. Rajendran, Sriranjani Jr., and Pandari Bai. It is the cinematic acting debut of Ganesan and Rajendran. Based on Pavalar Balasundaram's play of the same name, Parasakthi narrates the misfortunes that befall the members of a Tamil family during World War II.
Kumaraswami Kamaraj, popularly known as Kamarajar was an Indian independence activist and politician who served as the Chief Minister of Madras State from 13 April 1954 to 2 October 1963. He was the founder and the president of the Indian National Congress (Organisation), widely acknowledged as the "Kingmaker" in Indian politics during the 1960s. He also served as the president of the Indian National Congress for two terms i.e. four years between 1964–1967 and was responsible for the elevation of Lal Bahadur Shastri to the position of Prime Minister of India after Jawaharlal Nehru's death and Indira Gandhi after Shastri's death. He was the Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha during 1952–1954 and 1969–1975. He was known for his simplicity and integrity. LIC Building is a 15-storied building in Chennai, India, serving as the southern headquarters of the Life Insurance Corporation of India. It is the first skyscraper built in India and an important landmark in the city. Located on the arterial Anna Salai, the building is 54 m (177 ft) tall. Initially built with 12 floors, the LIC Building was the tallest building in India when it was completed in 1959 and was surpassed by Mumbai's first skyscraper, the Usha Kiran Building, in 1961, which is about 80 m (260 ft) high. The building marked the transition from lime-and-brick construction to concrete columns in the region. The building is also known for using pile foundation technique for the first time in the region. It was the tallest building in Chennai for over 35 years before being surpassed by the Hyatt Regency Building on Anna Salai and the Arihant Majestic Towers in Koyambedu, both in the mid-1990s.
Jayaram Jayalalithaa was an Indian politician and actress who served as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for more than fourteen years over six terms between 1991 and 2016. The 2017 Ennore oil spill was an oil spill that occurred outside the Kamarajar Port in Ennore near Chennai in Tamil Nadu, India. The spill occurred on 28 January 2017 when an outbound empty tanker BW Maple collided with an inbound loaded oil tanker Dawn Kanchipuram at 04:00 local time. It was unexpected.
Shanti Theatre was an Indian movie theatre located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Built by G. Umapathy and D. Shanmuga Raja, and inaugurated in January 1961, it was bought by actor Sivaji Ganesan, and was owned by his family since. In May 2016, Shanti ceased screening films, and was re-invented by its owners as an Office space.
Lighthouse Metro station is a Metro railway station under construction in phase II of the Chennai Metro. Anna Nagar twin arches are ornamental twin arches located in Anna Nagar, Chennai, India. It was built on 1 January 1986 to commemorate the platinum jubilee of the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu C. N. Annadurai. Located at the junction of Poonamallee High Road and Anna Nagar Third Avenue, the arches are one of the most prominent landmarks in the city and serve as the entrance of the suburb of Anna Nagar from the southern side.

Anna Memorial, officially Perarignar Anna Memorial, is a memorial dedicated to the former chief minister of Tamil Nadu C. N. Annadurai (Anna), where a black marble platform was raised on the spot of Anna's cremation in February 1969. The memorial lies on a footpath that leads to the two-semicircle house-shaped platform around the memorial. The cemetery consists of an eternal flame at one end, with the sword pillar topped with a spherical-shaped doom light. Located on Kamarajar Promenade, on the northern end of Marina Beach in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, abutting the M.G.R. and Amma Memorial, the memorial of former chief ministers of Tamil Nadu M. G. Ramachandran and J. Jayalalithaa. Later, on 8 August 2018, the Anna Memorial Complex was expanded to include a memorial for another former chief minister of Tamil Nadu, M. Karunanidhi.
