The Guindy Links is one of the three 18-hole golf courses in Chennai, India. It was established in the late 19th century.

Cholavaramis a locality situated in Chennai and the pin code of this locality is 600067. It is the northern part of the Chennai Metropolitan City and also a part of the area covered by Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA).

Daporijo Airport is located at Daporijo in the state of Arunachal Pradesh, India. Daporijo used to have scheduled services in the 1980s and early 1990s from Vayudoot. The airport had flights to Guwahati and Dibrugarh on Dornier 228 aircraft. Currently, there is no scheduled commercial air service to the airport, although the airport is used by the Indian Army. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) plans to develop the airport for operation of ATR-42/ATR-72 type of aircraft.

Alwarpet is a residential zone in central Chennai and is a part of the greater Teynampet region. It is surrounded by Teynampet in the north and west, Mylapore, Mandavelli and Abhiramapuram in the east, Raja Annamalaipuram in the south, Nandanam in the south-west. It is among the most upscale neighborhoods in Chennai. The geographical location of this area allows centralized access to all parts of the city, hence it is typically called as "Heart of Chennai". The Central Railway station is about 7 km (4.3 mi) and Chennai International Airport is around 11 km (6.8 mi). The nearest Metro station is Teynampet metro station. A new exclusive station for Alwarpet has been proposed under the Phase-II of Chennai Metro Rail Project which is likely to begin by March 2021 and expected to be completed within 5-7 years.

The Rampur Greyhound is a breed of sighthound native to the Rampur region of Northern India, which lies between Delhi and Bareilly. It is believed the Rampur Greyhound descends from early Afghan Hounds, with their present-day appearance due to extensive crosses to the Greyhound in the 19th century to improve the breed's speed. The Rampur Greyhound is a shorthaired, powerfully built sighthound that resembles the Sloughi in appearance. An equestrian statue of Sir Thomas Munro, popularly known as "His Stirrupless Majesty", is located on the island. Tangasseri Lighthouse or Thangassery Lighthouse is situated at Tangasseri in Kollam city of the Indian state of Kerala. It is one of the two lighthouses in the Kollam Metropolitan Area and is maintained by the Cochin Directorate General of Lighthouses and Lightships. In operation since 1902, the cylindrical lighthouse tower painted with white and red oblique bands has a height of 41 metres (135 ft), making it the second tallest lighthouse in Kerala coast. Surendranath Kar was an Indian artist and architect, known for amalgamating the Indian architectural style with western and eastern styles of architecture. Born in 1892 in British India, Kar did his primary learning of art under his cousin, renowned Bengali painter, Nandalal Bose, and Abanindranath Tagore, the nephew of Nobel Laureate, Rabindranath Tagore. Later, he joined Vichitra Club, founded by the Tagore family, as a teacher of art. In 1917, when Tagore set up Brahmacharyasrama, the precursor of later day Shantiniketan, he joined the institution and worked as an art teacher. Two years later, he moved to Kala Bhavana of Tagore as a faculty member.

Jamshed Nowroji Vazifdar, popularly known as Jimmy, was a Parsi physician from India and a former secretary of the Indian Red Cross Society at its Maharashtra Chapter. Born in Mumbai and graduated in medicine in 1946, he is known to have contributed to the blood transfusion movement in India. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest Indian civilian award of Padma Shri in 1973. He died in 2000.

Gennadi Mikhailovich Pechinkov is a Russian actor, director and theatre personality, known for his portrayal of Rama. He played the part of the ancient Indian king from the epic, Ramayana, in 1960 at the Children's Theatre, Moscow and is reported to be the only European professional actor to have played the role in Europe. He continued playing the part for around 40 years and has performed in front many prominent Indian persons such as Jawaharlal Nehru and K. P. S. Menon. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in 2008, for his contributions to Theatre.

Broadcasting in the city of Chennai began in 1924 by the Madras Presidency Radio Club. The service was operational till the government-run All India Radio started broadcasting in the city in 1938.

The National Football League (Under-19) was an annual played a youth league competition featuring football clubs from India. Founded in 2001 through the All India Football Federation (AIFF), the NFL was the first youth football league in India to be organized on a national scale. The U19 teams of the National Football League teams took part in the competition. The I-League U19 was founded in 2008 as new youth league.
