Rajarathinam Stadium is a stadium located on Marshalls Road in Egmore, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, and is owned by the state police department. The stadium had chiefly been used as a parade ground for police personnel.
The stadium, which had been used primarily as a police parade ground, is currently under renovation. It also serves as a venue for morning walk for the locals. Before renovation, it was also used for the passing out parade for senior police officers, especially directors-general of police (DGPs) and also as a venue for the sports meets and annual day celebrations of the city schools.
The re-construction of the stadium began in 2009 with a fund allocation of ₹ 31.655 million for building the barracks and a training centre. The construction was handed over to the Tamil Nadu Police Housing Corporation (TNPHC) Limited. New facilities include a 400-metre-long track with nine lanes; an FRP-sheet-covered gallery that included offices, library, classrooms and dormitories for men and women; a VIP area with a longue, an air-conditioned viewing gallery, and rooms for commentators; four blocks of common toilets; and two blocks of attached toilets. Two types of galleries have been built—a main gallery with a plinth area of 12,000 sq ft and two additional galleries spread over 4,521 sq ft each. [1]

The Greater Chennai Corporation, formerly known as the Corporation of Madras (1688–1996) and Corporation of Chennai (1996–2016), is the civic body that governs the metropolitan city of Chennai in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Inaugurated on 29 September 1688, under a royal charter issued by King James II of England on 30 December 1687 as the Corporation of Madras, it is the oldest municipal body of the Commonwealth of Nations outside Great Britain. It is among the oldest municipalities in Asia after Daman Municipality, which was established in 1588. It is the largest municipal corporation in Tamil Nadu with an area of 426 km2. It is headed by a mayor, who presides over 200 councillors, each of whom represents one of the 200 wards of the city. It is the second oldest civic corporation in the world after the City of London. The city limits, which had been expanded several times over the years, is currently coterminous with the Chennai district.
TIDEL Park is an information technology (IT) park situated in the city of Chennai, India. The name TIDEL is a portmanteau of TIDCO and ELCOT. An ISO 9001/14001 company, In 2000, it was one of the largest IT parks in India. It was set up in 2000 to foster the growth of information technology in the state of Tamil Nadu by the TIDEL Park Ltd, a joint venture of TIDCO and ELCOT.
Muthiah Annamalai Chidambaram Stadium, commonly known as the Chepauk Stadium, is a cricket stadium in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Established in 1916, it is the second oldest cricket stadium in the country after Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Formerly known as Madras Cricket Club Ground, the stadium is named after M. A. Chidambaram Chettiar, former president of BCCI and Head of TNCA. It is the home ground of the Tamil Nadu cricket team and the Indian Premier League team Chennai Super Kings. Chepauk hosted its first Test match on 10 February 1934, the first Ranji Trophy match in 1936 and the Indian cricket team's first test victory in 1952 against England. The 1986 India-Australia match held at Chepauk was only the second ever Tied Test in the history of the game.
Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu Tennis Stadium, commonly known as SDAT Stadium, sometimes also called Nungambakkam Tennis Stadium, is located in Nungambakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, and played host for the Chennai Open ATP Tennis championships held in the first week of January from 1996 to 2017. The stadium was built in 1995 by the Government of Tamil Nadu on the occasion of South Asian Federation Games held in Chennai that year. The stadium has been the venue for Indian Open tennis tournament annually since 1997. The stadium witnessed some dramatic scenes in 1998 when legends like Boris Becker and Patrick Rafter took part in the then named Goldflake Open. Rafter went on to win the tournament.
Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium is a field hockey stadium at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Named after M. Radhakrishna Pillai, it was the venue to the 1996 Men's Champions Trophy, and hosted the tournament again in December 2005. It was also the venue for 2007 edition of Asian Hockey Championship, in which India triumphed by a thumping margin of 7–2 over South Korea. It is also the venue for all division matches of the Chennai Hockey Association and the home ground of the World Series Hockey team Chennai Cheetahs.
Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Chennai, India. It has a capacity to seat 40,000 people. It hosts football matches and athletic competitions. The complex also houses a multipurpose indoor stadium with a seating capacity of 5,000 which hosts volleyball, basketball, table tennis games. The stadium is also used for functions and concerts. The stadium is named after Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first Prime Minister. The stadium earlier hosted cricket test matches between 1956 and 1965. As of 19 August 2017 it has hosted 9 tests.

Chidambaram Stadium is one of the oldest cricket stadiums in India and has been the venue for many notable milestones in the history of Indian cricket. Tennis, field hockey, football and formula racing and squash are the other popular sports. The city hosts an ATP tennis event, the Chennai Open. Chennai has a rich legacy in chess and has produced many well-known chess players, the most notable of them being Viswanathan Anand, the former multiple World Chess Champion.
Victoria Public Hall, or the Town Hall, is a historical building in Chennai, named after Victoria, Empress of India. It is one of the finest examples of British architecture in Chennai and was built to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, it was used as a theater and a place for public gatherings. The South Indian Athletic Association Club now resides there.
Chennai Trade Centre is a permanent exhibition complex in Nandambakkam, Chennai, hosting several trade fairs and conventions round the year. It is the first fair infrastructure that has been developed by India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO)—the premier trade promotion agency of the Government of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry—outside Delhi. A joint initiative of the ITPO and the Tamil Nadu Trade Promotion Organisation, which hold 51 and 49 percent stakes, respectively, the Trade Centre was designed by C R Narayan Rao, and was commissioned in January 2001, while the convention centre was commissioned on 1 November 2004. The exhibition hall was constructed at an estimated cost of ₹ 23 crore and the convention centre at a cost of ₹ 22 crore. Together, these centres cover 10,560 sq m and are fully booked for 75 days in a year. Built over an area of 25.48 acres, the centre comprises four modules of 4,400 m2 each of exhibition halls and support services to be built in a phased manner. In the first phase, two air-conditioned halls without pillars or columns encompassing areas of 5,000 m2 and 1,850 m2 were constructed. There are three halls, viz, Hall No. 1 (4,400 m2), Hall No. 2 (1,760 m2) and Hall No. 3 (4,400 m2). The halls feature a height of 6 m to display all merchandise including machinery. These have been supplemented recently with a modern, fully air-conditioned convention centre. All the halls are inter-linked, and Hall No. 3 is connected with the convention centre. The convention centre can accommodate 2,000 people with a provision for dividing the hall into two equal parts and has an audiovisual facility suitable for multi-purpose use such as conferences, conventions, cultural shows, and so forth. The Chennai Trade Centre is managed by Tamil Nadu Trade Promotion Organisation (TNTPO), a joint venture of ITPO and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO).
Nehru Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. Constructed in 1971, It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 30,000 spectators. The stadium was used as home ground of I-League club Chennai City FC.
Tamil Nadu Government Multi-Super-Speciality Hospital is a 400-bed government-owned super-speciality hospital in Chennai, India. It is located at the Omandurar Government Estate on Anna Salai and was opened in February 2014. Originally built as Tamil Nadu legislative assembly and secretariat complex in 2010 to house the assembly hall, secretariat and offices of the chief minister and cabinet ministers, the complex was later converted into a super-speciality hospital. It was built in 1.93 million sq ft. at a total cost of ₹ 4,250 million in 2010.
The Anna Stadium is a stadium at the Anna Sports Complex located in the Indian city of Tiruchirappalli. The main football and athletics stadium, Anna Stadium, has a capacity of 10,000. Constructed in 1970, it is spread over an area of 31.25 acres (12.65 ha). The complex also houses a multi-purpose indoor stadium and has separate courts for sports such as tennis, badminton, basketball, football, kabaddi, hockey, and volleyball. The Chennai Rainbow Pride March has been held by members of Tamil Nadu LGBTIQA+ communities every June since 2009. The pride march is organised under the banner Tamil Nadu Rainbow Coalition, which is a collective of LGBT individuals, supporters, and organizations working on human rights and healthcare for the LGBTQIA community. The Pride March occurs on the final Sunday of June every year. The Pride March is usually preceded by a month-long series of events organized by NGOs and organizations to inculcate awareness and support for the LGBTQ community, such as panel discussions, film screenings, and cultural performances. The Chennai Vaanavil Suyamariyadhai Perani a.k.a. Chennai Rainbow Self-Respect March is known for being inter-sectional in nature as it addresses issues with multiple axes such as caste, class, religion coupled with gender discrimination.
Salem Cricket Foundation Stadium is a cricket stadium located in Salem district of Tamil Nadu, India. It was established in 2020 by Salem Cricket Foundation with assistance from Salem District Cricket Association and Tamil Nadu Cricket Association. It is the biggest cricket ground in the state in respect to play area. Chennai Super Kings started its Super Kings Academy in this stadium.
