The Texas A&M Aggies are the students, graduates, and sports teams of Texas A&M University. The nickname "Aggie" was once common at land-grant or "ag" (agriculture) schools in many states. The teams are also simply referred to as "A&M" or "Texas Aggies," and the official school colors are maroon and white. The mascot is a rough collie named Reveille.

Steve Wijler is a Dutch archer competing in men's recurve events. He won the bronze medal in the men's individual recurve event at the 2017 World Archery Championships held in Mexico City, Mexico. In 2021, Wijler and Gabriela Schloesser won the silver medal in the mixed team event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Lisa Barbelin is a French archer, who won the recurve events at the 2021 European Archery Championships, and 2022 European Indoor Archery Championships. She has previously won multiple medals at the World Youth Archery Championships, and won bronze medals in events at the 2019 and 2022 Archery World Cups. In June 2021 she was the world's number one ranked competitor. Barbelin competed in the women's individual event at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Sanne de Laat is a Dutch archer competing in women's compound events. She won the silver medal in the women's team event and the bronze medal in the women's individual event at the 2021 European Archery Championships held in Antalya, Turkey.
The 2022 Archery European Indoor Championships took place in Laško, Slovenia from 14 to 19 February 2022. At the European Archery Indoor Championships was debuted the barebow discipline. Events staged in each of the three disciplines in the senior and under-21 age brackets.
The 13th World Para Archery Championships took place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 19 to 27 February 2022. Originally the event was to take place in 2021 but it was delayed until 2022 by COVID-19 pandemic. It was the first time the switch to a two-archer doubles format rather than three-archer teams for the single-gender competitions. Athletes from China were unable to travel due to ongoing pandemic restrictions. This was the biggest parasport event in Dubai since the city hosted the World Para Athletics Championships in 2019.
