BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Dec. 23 (UPI)—Lieut. Gen. John C. Persons, commander of the 31st Infantry Division during World War II, died yesterday of a stroke.
CAIRO, Dec. 25 (UPI)—Field Marshal Ahmed Ismail, Egypt's Minister of War and Commander in Chief of the armed forces in the October, 1973, war, died today in London at the age of 57, the Government announced.
