Manipouri State School opened circa 1923. Around 1930, the spelling was changed to Manapouri State School. It closed circa 1952. [3] The school was on a 2-acre (0.81 ha) site at 401 Carey Road ( 27°50′50″S152°00′11″E / 27.84724°S 152.00308°E ). [4]
