The 2014 Nevada Attorney General election took place on November 4, 2014, to elect the Attorney General of Nevada. Incumbent Democratic Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto was ineligible to run for re-election for a third term due to term limits from the Constitution of Nevada. Republican attorney Adam Laxalt defeated Democratic secretary of state Ross Miller with 46.2% of the vote. [1] Until the 2022 Nevada gubernatorial election, this was the most recent time a Republican won a Nevada statewide election while carrying neither Clark nor Washoe Counties.

    Paul Dominique Laxalt was an American attorney and politician who served as the 22nd governor of Nevada from 1967 to 1971 and a United States senator representing Nevada from 1974 until 1987.     Ross James Miller is an American attorney and politician. He is a Democrat, currently the Clark County Commissioner for District C since 2021, the former Secretary of State of Nevada and 2012–2013 president of the National Association of Secretaries of State. Elected at the age of 30, he was the youngest secretary of state in the history of Nevada and the youngest secretary of state in the country at the time of his election. Miller was not eligible to run for a third term per term limits established by the Nevada Constitution.

In 2018, she was elected lieutenant governor. She resigned as lieutenant governor on September 17, 2021 to join the Biden administration's White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs.

He struggled in the polls, and ultimately federal judge and former attorney general of Nevada Brian Sandoval secured the nomination. Sandoval defeated Democrat Rory Reid, son of then-current U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who won his fifth term in the Senate on the same ballot.
