Raoul Walsh American film director and actor

Raoul A. Walsh was an American film director, actor, founding member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), and the brother of silent screen actor George Walsh. He was known for portraying John Wilkes Booth in the silent classic The Birth of a Nation (1915) and for directing such films as the widescreen epic The Big Trail (1930) starring John Wayne in his first leading role, The Roaring Twenties starring James Cagney and Humphrey Bogart, High Sierra (1941) starring Ida Lupino and Humphrey Bogart, and White Heat (1949) starring James Cagney and Edmond O'Brien. He directed his last film in 1964.

Classical Hollywood cinema is a term used in film criticism to describe both a narrative and visual style of filmmaking which became characteristic of American cinema between the 1910s and the 1960s. It eventually became the most powerful and pervasive style of filmmaking worldwide. Similar or associated terms include classical Hollywood narrative, the Golden Age of Hollywood, Old Hollywood, and classical continuity.

North Hobart Football Club

The North Hobart Football Club, nicknamed The Demons, is an Australian rules football club which plays in the Tasmanian State League. The club returned to the state league in 2018 after its position was effectively filled by a new club, the Hobart City Football Club after the 2013 season. The club was part of the Tasmanian Football League from the early 1900s through to 2001, where the club joined Southern Football League. In 2009, the club was invited into the second reincarnation of the statewide league where it remained until 2013.

The Australian Men's Interstate Teams Matches were an amateur team golf competition for men between the states and territories of Australia.
