The Women's Futsal World Tournament is an international women's futsal competition for national teams, organized by national associations and the World Futsal Association. [1] The first edition took place in 2010 in Spain and was won by Brazil. The tournament has known no other winner besides Brazil, after the country's victories in the first six editions.

Contents

The tournament is endorsed by national associations such as the Japan Football Association, [2] Iranian Football Federation [3] and FEDEFUT. [4] FIFA runs the men's FIFA Futsal World Cup but not the Women's Futsal World Tournament. [5] [6] The FIFA Women's Futsal World Cup was announced in 2022.

In this ranking 3 points are awarded for a win, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss. As per statistical convention in football, matches decided in extra time are counted as wins and losses, while matches decided by penalty shoot-outs are counted as draws. The Azerbaijan national futsal team is the national futsal team of Azerbaijan and is controlled by the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan. It represents Azerbaijan in international futsal competitions such as the FIFA Futsal World Cup and the European Championships. They are ranked 13th in the world, the highest-ranking team from Caucasus in the World Rankings. They are also ranked 7th in Europe on 10 August 2021.

The Kazakhstan national futsal team is controlled by the Football Federation of Kazakhstan, the governing body for futsal in Kazakhstan and represents the country in international futsal competitions, such as the World Cup and the European Championships.

The Vietnam national futsal team represents Vietnam in international futsal and is governed by Vietnam Football Federation. They played two World Cup editions in 2016 and 2021 and reached to the knockouts in both.

Victor Jacobus Hermans is a Dutch futsal coach who has managed 6 different national teams and guided 3 teams to the world cup, Victor Hermans had only two unsuccessful campaign with national teams for the world cup.

The 2015 Women's Futsal World Tournament was the sixth edition of the Women's Futsal World Tournament, the premier world championship for women's national futsal teams. The venue was Domo Polideportivo de la CDAG in Guatemala City. The competition was won by Brazil, winner of all the editions disputed until then. Iran's Niloufar Ardalan notably defied a travel ban to take part in the 2015 tournament after her husband did not approve of her leaving Iran.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup</span> International futsal event

The 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup was the ninth edition of the FIFA Futsal World Cup, the quadrennial international futsal championship contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. The tournament was held in Lithuania. It marked the first FIFA tournament ever hosted by Lithuania and the third Futsal World Cup hosted in Europe; the others being 1989 in the Netherlands and 1996 in Spain.

Miguel Rodrigo is a Spanish Futsal coach. Miguel Rodrigo had successful spell between 2009 and 2016 with Japan which won two titles of AFC Futsal Championship under his guidance. Due to his depth of tactics and formations, he was dubbed by the Japanese media and fans as The Magician.

The 2021 FIFA U-20 World Cup was to be the 23rd edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, the biennial international men's youth football championship contested by the under-20 national teams of the member associations of FIFA, since its inception in 1977 as the FIFA World Youth Championship. It was scheduled to be hosted by Indonesia between 21 May and 12 June 2021, which would have been the first FIFA tournament hosted by the country. It would have been also only the second U-20 World Cup to be held in Southeast Asia, first since 1997, and the first FIFA tournament in the region since the 2012 FIFA Futsal World Cup.
