Lakeside is a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa. It is located adjacent to Modderfontein in the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality.

The World Professional Darts Championship is one of the most important tournaments in the darts calendar. Originally held as an annual event between 1978 and 1993, players then broke off into two separate organisations after a controversial split in the game. Each organisation, the British Darts Organisation (BDO) and the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) then arranged their own World Championships, the former in January the latter in December. As a result, there was no longer a unified world champion in the sport for nearly three decades.
Lakeside Shopping Centre is a large out-of-town shopping centre located in West Thurrock, Essex just beyond the eastern boundary of Greater London. It was constructed on the site of a former chalk quarry. The first tenants moved into the complex in 1988 and it was completed in 1990, being opened on 25 October of that year by Princess Alexandra of Kent, Marcus Bradford and Angus Ogilvy. New spaces in the red car park were added as recently as October 2019.

Located on the M-59 commercial corridor, the mall is currently anchored by Macy's and JCPenney via exterior entrances, with two vacant anchor stores previously occupied by Lord & Taylor and Sears. With 1,550,000 square feet of retail space spanning two floors, Lakeside was the largest mall in Michigan by leasable square footage at the time of its closing.

Ednor Gardens-Lakeside is a large community in northeast Baltimore, Maryland. It is bounded by 33rd Street to the south, Hillen Road to the east, Ellerslie Avenue to the west, and Argonne Drive, The Alameda, Loch Raven Boulevard, and Roundhill Road to the north. Ednor Gardens was part of a large planned community that was built out from the 1920s through the 1950s by Edward Gallagher, one of Baltimore's most prolific homebuilders at the time. It is notable among its neighbors for the quality of the homes and extensive landscaping. Until it was torn down in 2002, Memorial Stadium was located in Ednor Gardens-Lakeside.
Jurong Lake District (JLD) is a district of Singapore, planned as part of Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA)’s decentralisation efforts to bring more quality jobs, amenities, and recreational options closer to homes. The plans for the district have continued to evolve since the blueprint was first unveiled in the URA Master Plan 2008. It consists of three precincts, namely Jurong Gateway, Lakeside and Lakeside Gateway. It is 472 hectares (4,720,000 m2) in size and served by two major expressways and three MRT stations. It is planned to be Singapore's next central business district. In June 2023, a white site 6.5 hectares (ha) in size was released for sale to kick-start development of the largest commercial district outside Singapore’s city centre.

It is located in the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality, adjacent to Kempton Park in the neighbouring City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality.

The 2022 Lakeside WDF World Championship was the first World Championship organised by the World Darts Federation. The tournament was held at the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green, Surrey, England, which hosted the now-defunct BDO World Darts Championship from 1986 to 2019. The titles were won by Neil Duff in the men's competition, and Beau Greaves in the women's.
