Northgate Shopping Centre is a regional shopping centre located in Northgate, Randburg, in northern Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. The centre opened in the 1991, [1] and it serves the surrounding residential suburbs along with being notable for housing one of the remaining public ice rinks in the Johannesburg area, [2] [3] [4] as well as the WeBuyCars Dome, an indoor car showroom. In 1991 Northgate Shopping Centre opened its doors after phase 1 of its development was completed. At that stage, the mall was small, consisting only of Pick n Pay and a couple of other stores. At that time, the mall was 3 100 sqm. Since then the mall has continued to grow, and now offers an array of stores, and of course, one of Joburg's most popular entertainment offerings including Northgate Ice Rink and Century Cinemax Northgate.
