Petrophile wonganensis is a shrub endemic to Western Australia. [1]
The dense shrub typically grows to a height of 0.4 to 1.5 metres (1.3 to 4.9 ft). It blooms between August to October producing yellow flowers.
It is found on plains in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia where it grows in sandy-loamy soils. [1]
