Jordanian Bengali Pidgin Arabic is an Arabic pidgin spoken in Jordan. The pidgin was formed from contact between the Jordanian Arabic and Bengali languages. [1] According to one study, these have characteristics of "pre-pidgins" rather than "stable pidgins". [2] UNESCO classifies it as "endangered/unsafe". [3]

Khaliji music first started as a bedouin tradition with poetry sung by a tribe's shaa'ir, which means poet, usually accompanied by a rebab, the lyrics dealt with tales of honor, love, camel riders, and glory warriors.

There have been a number of Arabic-based pidgins throughout history, including a number of new ones emerging today.

Dobhashi is a neologism used to refer to a historical register of the Bengali language which borrowed extensively, in all aspects, from Arabic and Persian. It became the most customary form for composing puthi poetry predominantly using the traditional Bengali alphabet. However, Dobhashi literature has also been produced in the Sylhet Nagri script, as well as in the modified Arabic scripts of Chittagong and Nadia. The standardisation of the modern Bengali language during the colonial period, eventually led to its decline.

Ibrahim Mohammed Mahmoud al-Kufahi is a Jordanian poet, critic and professor. He was born in Irbid, Jordan on March 1, 1967, and it is where he studied. He obtained a degree in Arabic language and literature from Yarmouk University and a master's degree in literature and criticism from the same university. He worked as an Arabic teacher publishing his literary works in Jordanian newspapers and magazines such as Al Ra'i, Yarmouk and Voice of the Generation. He has a collection of poetry entitled The Qur’an and Venice (1991) and several other works.

Aḥmad Ḥasan ibn Waṣī ar-Raḥmān ibn Ḥamīd ʿAlī al-Jīrawī, popularly known as Shah Ahmad Hasan, was a Bangladeshi Islamic scholar and educationist. He was an early student of Al-Jamiatul Ahlia Darul Ulum Moinul Islam in Hathazari. Hasan established Al Jameatul Arabiatul Islamia Jiri, which was the second Qawmi Madrasah of Bangladesh.

Ashraf Ali Bishwanathi (1928–2005) was a Bangladeshi Deobandi Islamic scholar, educator, politician and religious writer. He was called "Baba-e Jamiat" in order to lay the foundation of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Bangladesh in East Pakistan and present day Bangladesh. He was also the president of the party for 2001 to 2005. He was also the founder of Jamia Islamia Darul Uloom Madania Bishwanath, Madania Qawmia Mahila Madrasa and the literary magazine Monthly Al Farooq.

Muhammad Ibrahim of Ujani was a Bengali Deobandi scholar and founder of the Jamia Islamia Ibrahimia. He was a senior disciple of Rashid Ahmad Gangohi, and his khalifa Syed Muhammad Ishaq was the founder of the Charmonai Darbar.

ʿAbd ar-Rabb Jaunpūrī was an Indian Muslim scholar, author and teacher. He was associated with Taiyuni reformist movement, founded by his grandfather Karamat Ali Jaunpuri, and succeeded his uncle Hafiz Ahmad Jaunpuri as the leader of the movement in 1899.
