Estradiol butyrylacetate (EBA), sold under the brand names Follikosid and Klimanosid-R Depot (with testosterone ketolaurate and reserpine), is an estrogen medication which is no longer marketed. [1] [2] It is an estrogen ester, specifically, an ester of estradiol. [1] It is administered by intramuscular injection and a single 10 mg dose has been said to have a duration of action of 2 to 3 weeks. [3] [4] The excretion of EBA in women has been studied. [5] [6]

It contained 1 to 3 mg EB, 20 to 25 mg P4, and 25 mg TP, was provided in the form of ampoules, and was administered by intramuscular injection. The medication was introduced by 1949 and was marketed in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany among other places. It is no longer available.
