Most cities with high life expectancy are located in the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta and Beijing-Tianjin region.

Changsha Huanghua International Airport is an international airport serving Changsha, the capital of South Central China’s Hunan province, and the Greater Changsha Metropolitan Region comprising the nearby cities of Zhuzhou and Xiangtan.
Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport is an international airport serving Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China’s Guizhou province.
Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport is an international airport serving Lanzhou, the capital of Northwest China’s Gansu province. It is located 71 kilometres (44 mi) northwest of downtown Lanzhou. It was opened in 1970 and serves as a major air hub for the province of Gansu and western China. There are eight gates served by aerobridges in the terminal. A new larger Terminal 2 is located to the South, adjacent to the existing terminal. The new terminal adds nine aerobridges.
Lijiang Sanyi International Airport is an airport serving Lijiang, Yunnan province, China.
Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport is an international airport serving the cities of Jieyang, Shantou, Chaozhou and nearby areas in eastern Guangdong province of South Central China. It is located in the towns of Paotai and Denggang in Jiedong District, Jieyang, Guangdong. It was part of a relocation plan from the original Shantou Waisha Airport, and the site was chosen to be near the geographic center of Jieyang, Shantou, and Chaozhou. The airport was put into service on 15 December 2011, with the simultaneous shut-down of Shantou Waisha Airport as a commercial airport.
Line 1 of the Guangzhou Metro runs from Xilang to Guangzhou East Railway Station. Apart from Kengkou and Xilang, all stations in Line 1 are underground. The first section, from Xilang to Huangsha, opened on 28 June 1997, making Guangzhou the fourth city in mainland China to have a metro system. Construction took a total of 66 months. The total investment is 12.2616 billion yuan with an average cost per kilometer of 662.9 million yuan. The full line started operation on 28 June 1999. Line 1 is coloured yellow.
Puning, officially Puning City, is a county-level city located in Eastern Guangdong, China, under the administration of the city, Jieyang. Nevertheless, its administrative power in economic matters is comparable to that of prefecture-level cities. Puning is geographically situated on the west rim of Chaoshan Plain, leaning against the stretching branch of the Lianhua Mountains at its southwest border, and 90 percent of its territory sits on the south of the Tropic of Cancer. The city has a population of 2.5089 million under its household registration system hukou, marking the largest in all county-level cities in China. Puning's downtown residents amount to 581,900, behind Yiwu, while the entire city's resident population of 1.9986 million is second to cities Kunshan and Jinjiang. It is concurrently the ancestral hometown of 1.95 million overseas Chinese people and 1.4 million 'returned overseas Chinese people' and family members of overseas Chinese people.

Wuxi railway station is a railway station of Jinghu railway and Shanghai-Nanjing Intercity Railway, located in Chong'an District, Wuxi, Jiangsu, is a special station under the jurisdiction of China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd. Line 22 of the Guangzhou Metro is a partially open rapid transit express line in Guangzhou with trains operating up to 160 km/h (99 mph). It runs between Panyu Square and Chentougang, passing Guangzhou South Railway Station in Panyu District, and will eventually run in a north-south direction passing Xilang and Fangcun in Liwan District. Currently, there are train attendants on board each train. In the future, trains will operate fully driverless GoA4 mode when sufficient reliability from the signaling system has been confirmed.

On 22 February 2024, a barge collided with the Lixinsha Bridge in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China, causing a portion of the bridge to collapse. Two vehicles plunged into the river and three others fell onto the barge, leaving five dead and three others injured.
