The Utah general elections, 2018 were held in the U.S. state of Utah on November 6, 2018. One of Utah's U.S. Senate seats was up for election, as well as all four seats in the United States House of Representatives, fourteen Utah Senate seats and all of the Utah House of Representatives seats.
Incumbent senator Orrin Hatch was eligible for re-election, but did not run in 2018. [1] Republican Mitt Romney was elected to the U. S. Senate, defeating Democratic nominee and Salt Lake County Council member Jenny Wilson. [2]
All of Utah's four seats in the United States House of Representatives were up for election in November. In districts 1, 2, and 3, Republican incumbents were re-elected. In district 4, Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams defeated two-term incumbent Republican Mia Love.
Fifteen Utah Senate seats were up for election in November.

Since Utah became a U.S. state in 1896, it has sent congressional delegations to the United States Senate and United States House of Representatives. Each state elects two senators to serve for six years. Before the Seventeenth Amendment in 1913, senators were elected by the Utah State Legislature. Members of the House of Representatives are elected to two-year terms, one from each of Utah's four congressional districts. Before becoming a state, the Territory of Utah elected a non-voting delegate at-large to Congress from 1850 to 1896.
Margaret Dayton is an American politician from Utah. A member of the Republican Party, she served longer in the Utah Legislature than any other woman in Utah history. Jenny Wilson is an American politician currently serving as the mayor of Salt Lake County, Utah. In September 2007, she was a primary candidate for mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah. In 2016, she was Utah's national committeewoman for the Democratic Party. She is the daughter of Ted Wilson, a former mayor of Salt Lake City. Wilson was the Democratic nominee in the 2018 Utah Senate race, running against Republican nominee Mitt Romney. After her election defeat, she was appointed to replace Ben McAdams as Salt Lake County Mayor, taking the oath of office in January 2019. She was elected to that position for a full four-year term in the 2020 general election.

Kennedy was a candidate in the 2018 U.S. Senate election in Utah. He received the most votes at the Utah State Republican Convention but was defeated by Mitt Romney in the subsequent primary for the Republican nomination.
Bradley R. Wilson is an American real estate developer and Republican politician. Wilson is a former member of the Utah House of Representatives, representing District 15. He served as the House Speaker from 2019 to 2023. On April 13, 2023, he formed an exploratory committee to run for the U.S. Senate in 2024.
